"Thank you so much for letting me stay, Saphire."

"No problem, Serenity. It's the least I can do. Anything you need we can get for you. I know you need some space right now but at least one of us is always here if you need someone."

"Oh thank you." I sniffed, hugging her tight. "Thank you so much."

"You're going to be safe and happy here with us. You'll never have to worry again."

I frowned, hugging tighter.

"Thank you." She laughed, patting my head gently.

After Jace left, I had a different type of breakdown. I cried and cried for hours, absolutely devastated. Heartbroken, betrayed, mentally battered, entirely lost, indescribably confused. Nothing made sense, I couldn't piece anything together, I couldn't think, I couldn't form a thought. I just felt. I felt so sad. It was just a burst of emotions.

Then after, I couldn't tell you how many hours, I went blank. I sat in silence, staring in front of me but eyes unfocused. It felt like I was taking a break from existence. Mind was still empty except this time there were no emotions. I couldn't even feel anything anymore. I felt hollow but my body seemed cemented in place. My body was incredibly heavy.

So I just sat there and sat there and sat there.

I wasn't sure how long Luna and Velvet had been calling for me but something in me made me turn to the crying.

It hadn't been either of my babies but rather the black cat, Sahla. I got up to let him in.

He jumped in my arms, demanding attention. I focused on him, purring into my cheek.

It hit my like a ton of bricks.

Another rush of thoughts, more emotions, panic, anxiety, fear.

I wanted to leave. I wanted to leave immediately. I ran to my room, packed as much of my clothes as I could. Taking as much as I could.

My clothes, products, phone, my plushies, my night light, my shoes. I threw all of Lunas and Velvets things into their bags. I ran around getting everything together.

I knew where I was going. There was no doubt. Once Saphire agreed, I hung up sparing no time in questions. She tried calling me back but I was already calling a ride, throwing my bags outside.

"I'm sorry. You can't come. Go back home." I pushed Sahla out. I threw all the food in my fridge out and stuffed any snacks I had into my bag. I took as much as I could.

Sahla sat on top of my suitcase, unbothered.

"I'm leaving! For a long time! You have to go back home." I struggled getting Velvet into her carrier. My hands are trembling so bad, my entire body is shaking. My fingers fumbled with both of their carriers, causing for some unsettled cats.
