Letters to You

~Our Story~

It is nighttime as I stand here

our story hidden in a letter I have written

By my own hand

and although yes It has been long overdue

especially since my last letter to you

But I truly do promise this is all

Part of the plan

with that in mind I take your hand and place said letter in hand

and right before we part way I can't help but pull you in a tight embrace as I whisper

"open the letter once your mind is at its darkest place"

and so then I wait

and even as I do I don't think I'll ever get a response

but even so, I feel it in my heart

You opened the letter now

I do hope my words do not disappoint you 

after all..poetry is the thoughts of the writer's soul

that said I wonder what you think of what was written 

as I hope the words brought you to tears as they did me
