Chapter 14.

It was late afternoon and I invited Gabby over for some tea at our place. My brothers said they were having ‘some of the lads’ round again for a PS3/Xbox night so Gabby and I can challenge them. Lord knows which of them will come tonight.

We arrived how at 5:30 PM. I jumped out of the car and Gabby followed me to the door. I unlocked it and we both walked inside.

‘’RAFA, FABS, WE’RE HOME!’’ I screamed

‘’OK!’’ they both called out at the same time. I laughed slightly and shook my head.

‘’Let’s get some drinks’’ I said, slipping my shoes off.

Gabby followed me into the kitchen.

‘’What would you like to drink? Coffee, Tea, Cappuccino, hot chocolate, coke?’’ I asked listing all the drinks off the top of my head

‘’I’ll have a Coke please’’ she smiled and I tossed her a can from the drinks fridge. That’s right, my brothers have an entire fridge dedicated to soft drinks and beer.

I then took a can of Pepsi for myself.

‘’Hey! You didn’t tell me there was Pepsi!’’ she laughed

‘’That was because I knew there was only one left and I wanted it’’ I winked and she lightly punched my arm. We walked through to the lounge and in there we found the twins, David, Welbz and Ash. (Danny Welbeck and Ashley Young).

‘’Hey’’ I said, smiling. They were all sat watching The Simpsons.

‘’HEY!’’ Ash screamed

‘’Alright’’ Welbz said, not taking his eyes from the TV, pleasant.

‘’Hi, you have a good day?’’ David asked, being polite, unlike the others. My brothers just grunted when we walked in.

‘’Great day thanks’’ I smiled, ‘’this is Gabby, Cristiano’s fiancée’’ I pointed to her before throwing myself down on the sofa next to Ash.

‘’Can we play FIFA? I’m bored’’ Welbz moaned, rolling onto the floor from the sofa.

‘’If you get up off the floor we can’’ I said, kicking him lightly in the side. He stayed face planting the floor. He wafted his arm about, trying to hit my foot. He failed. I just laughed at him. He soon got up and out of nowhere came and sat on my knee.

‘’What are you doing?’’ I raised my eyebrows at him

‘’Sitting on you’’ he said, using a control to turn on the PS3.

‘’Well never’’ I said in a patronising tone, he glared at me

‘’Me vs. you, what do you say?’’ he grinned

‘’I say, you’re on’’ I snatched a controller out of his hands and we started to play.

*DING DONG*

‘’Pizza’s here!’’ Rafa shouted. Him, Fabs, Ash and Welbz were in an intense game of FIFA. Gabby and I were having a conversation with David.

‘’Moneys on the side’’ Fabs said. I sighed and got up, walking to the door. I heard footsteps behind me. It was David.

‘’I can handle getting the pizza myself, David’’ I smiled at him

‘’I know’’ he smiled back.

I answered the door and checked the side for the money. It wasn’t there.

‘’Hang on a sec, I need to get the money’’ I told the pizza guy. I rushed back into the lounge and consulted Rafa about the money. He then decided to tell me it was on the kitchen side. I groaned and walked back through to the door and on the way to the kitchen. I stopped at the door.

‘’Alright, thanks, bye’’ David said, closing the door

‘’What are you doing I haven’t paid him?’’ I laughed

‘’I did though, I found the money on the side in the kitchen’’ he smiled

‘’Oh, well then, thanks’’ I grabbed one box and David took another and we walked through to the kitchen together.

I turned away from him to put the box down and when I turned back, David’s face was inches away from mine.

‘’W-what are you doing?’’ I asked him

‘’Ari…I really like you, like, really like you…’’ he put his hand on my waist and I flinched at his touch.

‘’Oh…’’ I blushed

‘’Do you like me too?’’ he said

‘’I, urm…’’ I stuttered. He moved his face closer to mine

‘’How about you tell me after this…’’ he leaned closer…but I stopped him my letting out a small cry. I felt scared. The last time I was this close to kissing a guy it was Antonio, and it wasn’t nice.

‘’I’m sorry I-‘’

‘’it’s fine…I’m just a little, I guess you could say scared, after what Antonio did to me. I’m afraid of everything…’’ I whispered

‘’Hey, don’t be scared, I won’t do anything you don’t want me to, I promise. I’m not like Antonio, I won’t ever hurt you’’ he said softly, moving away from me

‘’I like you too but you probably think I’m a freak and all now, but after what he did to me, I’m scared about being near any guy other than my brothers. He did so many things to me in so many different ways and every time a guy other than my brother goes to hug me I feel so scared’’ I said, tears escaping my eyes

‘’I don’t think you’re a freak at all! I just really like you, even though I only met you a few days ago. I’m so glad I’ve met you and it tears me apart inside to know that you went through such horrible things. It just makes me want to protect you more. I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable a just now. How about we start of as friends?’’ he smiled at me

‘’Yeah, friends’’
