(Hyejin's POV)

The sun had barely risen when I found myself in another meeting room, surrounded by the hum of voices discussing upcoming schedules and promotions. PDnim, with his disapproving expression, didn't waste a moment before addressing the elephant in the room.

"So, Hyejin," he began, a sly grin forming on his face, "I hope your trip with that BTS boy was enjoyable. It seems like you both had quite the adventure."

The room fell silent, all eyes turning to me. I took a deep breath, locking eyes with PDnim, refusing to let his words faze me.

"Thank you, PDnim. Yes, it was a fantastic trip. I appreciate the concern," I replied, my tone laced with a confidence I hadn't known I possessed.

PDnim's grin faltered, and he cleared his throat awkwardly. "Well, I hope you're ready for the increased attention. It's not easy being in the spotlight, especially when unexpected relationships become the talk of the town."

I leaned back in my chair and shot him a challenging smile. "I'm not one to shy away from attention, PDnim. Besides, I believe our fans will be thrilled to see a different side of me."

The other JYP artists exchanged glances, some suppressing smiles, and others nodding in agreement. PDnim, clearly caught off guard by my response, attempted to regain control.

"This isn't just about the fans, Hyejin. It's about your image, the company's image. We need to manage this situation carefully."

I chuckled, realizing the power dynamics at play. "PDnim, I trust that the company hired me for my talent and not just for my relationship status. I'm more than capable of handling the media attention."

He raised an eyebrow, his attempt at intimidation falling short. "We'll see how well you can handle it when the scrutiny intensifies. This is a competitive industry, and scandals can make or break careers."

I leaned forward, my tone measured but assertive. "PDnim, I'm here to make music and connect with people through my art. If a few tabloid articles are the price to pay for that, so be it. I won't let it distract me."

The room fell into an uncomfortable silence as PDnim realized that his attempt to rattle me had failed. The other artists, sensing the shift in dynamics, subtly expressed their support through nods and encouraging glances.

As the meeting continued, I focused on the upcoming projects, determined to prove that my worth went beyond the headlines. The whispers of the tabloids may linger, but I was ready to face the challenges that came with this new chapter in my career.

The meeting finally concluded, and I wasted no time getting up from my chair. Ignoring PDnim's lingering gaze, I briskly walked out of the room, my mind buzzing with the aftermath of his thinly veiled warnings.

As I made my way down the hallway, snippets of hushed conversations reached my ears. JYP staff members exchanged words in lowered tones, casting furtive glances in my direction. I couldn't help but catch the occasional mention of "Hyejin" and "Taehyung, along with "media frenzy" and "PR nightmare", confirming that the gossip mill was already in full swing.

"Heard she went on a trip with Taehyung. Wonder if it's for real."

"PDnim didn't seem too happy about it. This could affect the company's image."

Ignoring the gossip, I quickened my pace. The weight of their words lingered, but I held my head high.

Stepping into the elevator, I took a moment to collect myself. The doors closed, temporarily muffling the distant hum of speculative conversations.
