they were polar opposites, yet quite the same.

she was the girl who never put her body on display. her hair tied up as she looked down in concentration, refusing to acknowledge the others beside her. she didn't dare make a sound, her lips sealed shut.

he was the guy who always put himself out there. his hair fell perfectly on his soft, sculpted face, and all he did was acknowledge the presence of others, pressuring himself with his thoughts. he laughed loudly in the front of the class, the center of attention.

no, it wasn't a fairytale love story. it didn't end in showers of hugs and kisses. there was none of that.

i'm sure you'd expect them to be nothing alike.

but the fresh cuts on their wrists would forbid me to assume that.
