With the days events still fresh in his memory and with most of it still confusing him, Burchard finally makes it out of the school. He makes his way down the street while scratching his head and saying to himself, "what was up with that strange girl? First she basically abducts me from the hall then interrogate me? And above all that, she was so nonchalant about the whole thing?"

With his head starting to hurt from trying to understand what just happened but with none of it making any sense, his head drops as he simply sighs while muttering, "I'm definitely going to have to deal with her again aren't I?"

As he passes a side alley, a noise catches his attention enough to stop and looks over while thinking, "what the hell was that?"

He continues to listen but only hears some trash cans rustling around. Not thinking anything of it, he continues to walk while thinking, "must have just been a stray dog."

"Get away from me!"

He pauses when he hears a girls voice echo through the alley. Hearing the fear in her voice, he cautiously makes his way into the alley while thinking, "someone's in trouble."

As he gets further into the alley, the sounds of trash cans being knocked over and people shouting only grows as he picks up the pace while saying, "this isn't good."

Meanwhile at the other end of the alley, a girl around Burchard's age runs down the alley away from a man in close pursuit. Her long light indigo hair waves in the air as she desperately attempts to escape but can't seem to lose them and becoming desperate, she looks back at him while screaming, "JUST LEAVE ME...."

Not looking where she was going, the girl trips over a stray box which causes her to crash to the ground and rolls to a stop on her back and groans in discomfort. She slowly sits up and rubs the back of her head while muttering in a dazed tone, "what happened?"

"You just made this a lot easier."

She freezes when she sees the man slowly approaching her with an evil grin. In a panic she attempts to scoot herself back and away from her while muttering, "please, I'm begging you, just leave me alone."

Undeterred, he continues to approach her while saying, "and why would I do that? Everyone knows that you like getting freaky with music executives so why not me?"

Still attempting to get away, she shouts, "that was made up! It is not true!!!"

The man stops in his tracks and looks back at her confused while saying, "oh?"

A glimmer of hope slowly builds within her but is quickly snuffed out as the man starts to evily smile once more as he says, "if that's the case then there's no harm in making it true."

With fear once again taking over, she attempts to scoot herself away while begging him with tears in her eyes, "please.... I'm begging you...."

The man stops in his tracks, praying that he finally heard her pleads, she stops and looks up at him but to her confusion, he wasn't looking at her, for some strange reason he was looking past her. She wanted to look back to see what he was looking at but was to scared to look away from him while he mutters, "who the hell are you?"

Before she could fully comprehend what he was talking about, a shadowy figure dashes past her with enough speed to send her hair flying into her face. Now blind, all she was able to hear was the man shouting, "what are you...."

WHAM!!!

THUD!!!

The alley falls quiet, not a sound is heard save for heavy breathing. Finally gaining enough courage to act, she slowly pulls her hair away only to be shocked to see the man.... Lying unconscious on the ground and a shadowy figure standing before him while breathing heavily. She was terrified, she didn't know if this person was here to save her or take her attackers place and to be quite honest she didn't want to stay and find out so she tries her best to quietly crawl away but to her horror, she accidently hits a can which makes a noise.

She was frozen in place, and all she could hear was the sound of footsteps walking towards her. With nothing else she could do, she simply whimpers, "please.... Don't hurt me."

The footsteps stop but what she hears next truly shocks her, "don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you. You okay?"

She slowly looks up, only to see a shadowy figure towering over her with a menacing aura surrounding them. She shakes violently while the figure kneels down in front of her while asking, "are you hurt."

In a whimper, she response while scooting herself back, "please.... Just leave me alone."

To her dismay, he doesn't leave and instead leans forward into the light with reveals to her the boy in front of her as he cautiously reaches out to her while responding, "its alright, I'm not gonna hurt you."

Not believing him, she snaps back, "I don't trust you.... You're a man."

Confused by the response, the boy kneels there silently and seeing an opportunity, she quickly gets to her feet and takes off running in the opposite direction while shouting, "all men are horrible, and can't be trusted!!!"

As she disappears down the alley, Burchard couldn't help but look on in confusion while saying to himself, "what did she mean by that?"

He hears a faint groan coming from behind him and when he looks, sees the man starting to move and regain consciousness while thinking, "actually, I think I get it."

He slowly gets to his feet and pulls his phone out while continuing, "and she'd be right if I didn't call the cops."

An hour or so later, after the cops took his statement and hauled the offender away, Burchard finds himself standing alone where everything had taken place. As he starts walking back the way he came, he couldn't help but ask himself, "I wonder what happened to her to make her hate all men?"

He shrugs off the thought as he continues walking but as he passes where the girl had fallen, he pauses when a shiny object catches his eye. He looks down and is surprised to see something on the ground and when he picks it up, he says to himself, "some sort of cd?"

The case was blank and when he opened it, the cd itself was blank though had 'Tsukino Yoimachi' written on it in sharpie. He was confused as he continued to look at the cd while saying to himself, "never heard that name before? I wonder if it was that girls name?"

As he ponders this, what little light there was in the alley starts to disappear along with the setting sun. Seeing this, Burchard shoves the cd in his bad and starts walking again while saying to himself, "i should get going, still need to find my new place."
