You had spent the last few weeks doing your best trying not to worry about what Kiernan had told you, but that was proving to be difficult. Still, you had assurances from a lot of people in the business that things were fine, and that whatever grumbling you were hearing was probably just CAA trying its best to continue to discredit you. Still, you didn't want to let your guard down. So you had been staying away from everyone. You didn't want too, but it felt like the right thing.

Still, it hurt to have to continue to make excuses to call off weekends and hangouts with your ladies but you just wanted to protect them

Still, it hurt to have to continue to make excuses to call off weekends and hangouts with your ladies but you just wanted to protect them. Alex was trying to talk sense into you about it all but you still weren't having any of it. He said he wasn't gonna let you wallow and was sending over one of his friends to cheer you up. You said no, multiple times but he wasn't having it.

You decided to hide out at the office and hoped that would give you a wide enough berth not to worry about things but Danica eventually texted you to tell you someone was here for you, even though you expressed you weren't taking any visitors today

You decided to hide out at the office and hoped that would give you a wide enough berth not to worry about things but Danica eventually texted you to tell you someone was here for you, even though you expressed you weren't taking any visitors today. She buzzed them in regardless and you did your best to hide your disdain, but the smile across your face quickly took away the feeling as Maya Hawke bounced in with a smile and kicked you playfully in the chest, which nearly knocked you out of your chair as she just laughed and grabbed a water from your fridge. You had known Maya nearly all of your life as your dad had gotten both Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke started back in the day.
