Camilla Mendes had told you that Madelaine Petsch was looking to switch agencies and when she offered to set up a meeting with you you decided it was best to get her signed before CAA could snatch her up. Your agency had had a string of losses lately to some free agents as CAA was upping their offers for representation even though you had a better track record for the second year straight. You were still a mom and pop operation in CAA's mind but Zhou's influence in the overseas market was the only reason they weren't aggressively trying to squeeze you out like before.

The awards success was helping and your foray into casting films was proving to be a big boon so having more younger stars to build up from was only a good thing. You met Madelaine at the hotel bar she was staying at and she smiled and shook your hand as she said Camilla had a lot of good things to say about you which made you chuckle as you said that was usually the case. She didn't waste time and asked why she should sign with your agency and not take the good deal CAA was offering.

You gave her the usual spin about the working relationships you had, and the way you were turning younger stars into bigger household names, mostly using Jenna as your main pitch. While you couldn't guarantee that would happen with Madelaine, you were always trying and listed off the stars you, the awards you racking up recently. Madelaine seemed to take it all in and you shared a drink order while she talked about her goals and what she was hoping to achieve. While she thought your agency was great, CAA just gave her more to work with. You couldn't deny that and thanked her for the opportunity while paying for the drinks, she leaned in after the bartender left and said she would be willing to at least thank you for the time and touched your hand with a smirk as you nodded and said you weren't very good at saying no to beautiful women. She bit her bottom lip and locked eyes with you as she didn't have to say anything else.
