When you landed you had gotten a lot of sleep on the flight over so you were admittedly pretty awake and alert when you landed. Expecting a taxi or a Uber for the ride to Alex's place that you would be staying, you were surprised to see Alex at the airport waiting for you, a huge smile on his face as the two of you hugged as if you hadn't seen each other for a long time, tho admittedly it was only a few months. You were just thankful to have such a friend. When you got your luggage and loaded it into his car, you were caught off guard by him handing you a masquerade style mask, shaped like a wolf as he grinned at you while heading off following the address he put in. He had gotten invited to a big masquerade party with some elites within the Royals and the government, and had a few clients and others in the entertainment industry that would be there as well. You weren't sure about these type of parties as the last one you went too many years ago was disastrous for you, though that was a story for another time.

Still, Alex told you to trust him and to just try and have a good time as he had spent a lot of time around these people, and felt pretty confident about being the two American blokes that people would talk about for days. The hour drive was filled with stories and laughs as you told him about how adding Karen and everything with Maya had played into you needing to get away for a bit. He tried his best to give some brotherly assurances but you weren't really wanting to have a lecture about it. He eventually changed the subject and gave you some advice in regards to the party. He said the ultra wealthy and elite would probably be fully masked. The others that were there to be…lively, were more along the lines of them and the other majority.
