Saturday has finally come. I woke up early to clean the house not like it is dirty or anything but i wanted Kayla to come to a put together house. I even made her some snacks. My brother went to his date while dad had a work thing. I didn't even tell him that i will have a girl coming over, i think he would have not agreed to it. It is not me he doesn't trust, it is mostly the girls around me.

Kayla arrived at around 9am. We went into studying right away. 3 hours later we were done and she was getting ready to leave since i had to go and meet up with Tumisang for lunch.

"You know that you are really not bad" She puts her books into her bag

"Honestly i am not, i just went through a difficult situation"

"I am sorry"

"Hey it is all in the past"

"Did you get an apology from the girl?" She asks

"Yeah, i mean she was begging me not to press charges. You know that it is a crime to accuse someone of rape when they haven't even raped you"

She nods, "You are a good person for not pressing charges"

"I guess"

My phone buzzes, i glance down and it is a text from Tumisang telling me that she won't make it to lunch and that we will just meet up at her party.

"Do you have anywhere else to go?" I ask

"Home, i have some laundry"

"You laundry, here i was thinking you got a maid doing everything for you"

"We do, but i prefer doing my own laundry, you need to get ready for your date with Tumisang"

"There is no date anymore"

"Did you cancel?" She asks

"No, she cancelled. So if you are not in a rush to go and do laundry we can hang out."

"I am not in any rush" She smiles, "What do you want us to do"

"Tell me about yourself" I relax on the couch, "How are you single"

She giggles, "Who said that i am single"

"Girl if you were not single you wouldn't be here with me on a Saturday also your man would have come to class to tell me not to try any luck with you"

"Why would he do that?"

"I am a fine dude"

She laughs

"You know it is true"

"I did have a boyfriend. He was a senior but we broke up mainly because we didnt want to do long distance"

"Where is he?"

"Cape Town"

"I am sorry"

She shakes her head, "Don't be"

"Was he white?" I don't even know why i am asking

"Hmm"

"So you got a type" Why am i disappointed by this

"Not really, i like everyone" She smiles at me

"Okay"

"Do you have a type?"She asks

"Not really, i like everyone"

She punches me softly, "You play too much, so you going to Tumisang's party?'

"Hmm, what should i expect?"

"Nothing but the best. The twins do know how to throw a good party"

"You coming?"

"I had no plans to but you can always beg me to come" She keeps her eyes on me

"Please come to the party with me"

She grins, "Let me think about it"

"Come on i begged"

She laughs, "Fine"

The gate opens and i panic, "You have to go"

"Why, it's my dad ..."

Before i can even explain dad walks in, i quickly get up from the couch, "Dad, you are back"

"Yes" his eyes glance over at Kayla and back at me

"Err this is my classmate Kayla, she was helping me with some school work"

"And you didn't tell me?"

Kayla picks up her back, "We were just studying"

"And you are done" he says

"Yes sir, i should leave" Kayla turns to m, "I will see you on Monday"

"Yes"

She takes her bag and walks out, i pick up the gate remote and open for her while date settles down on the couch.

After i am sure that Kayla is gone i close the gate and turn to my dad to explain myself, "She offered to help me with my school work, you know that i am trying to up my grades"

"Then why didn't you tell me?"

"She is a girl and i didn't want you saying no or acting weird about it"

"Weird, Kitso you know what we have been through"

"Dad i had no plans of having sex with her, she is just a friend who is helping me. Gosh i was a victim in the whole thing but now i feel like i can't even live a normal life"

"Kitso i ..."

"It is fine dad, i will stay away from girls until i die" i head to my room but still in my anger i don't even slam the door because i know my dad means well.
