Kiara pov: All of a sudden I gained a gigantic headache that was killing my head. "Ugh," I groaned, and judging from Reine, she was also feeling this agony.
"Kiara!?" Calli shouted, worried about me.
I saw a flash of Mumei touching some runes, and then I saw her in pain as well. I can see what she sees and more.
"Kiara?" Mumei questioned me as she stood in front of me. I looked around and saw the others, but they were in a dormant state for some reason.
"The last time we were here was when..." I paused and stayed silent.
"When I was going to explode," Mumei said
I don't necessarily know how she can be so casual about that, but still, she knows the moment.
"Why are we here now?" I ask
"Are you resonating with my pain?" Mumei questioned me as she walked over to me, placed her hand on my face, and caressed me.
"Mu-Mei..." I said choppily.
The owl stopped caressing me and walked away from me. "Kiara, can we talk?"
"Isn't that what we've been doing?" I ask
"It is..." She lightly laughed.
"What do you want to talk about?" I ask
"It's about me and how things may be going since I have found out more about myself and how things really are. I feel like things are going to be different, like I'm going to..."
Mumei continued to talk, her voice getting more and more muted, but I somehow picked up on her words, and I slammed my fist into my palm.
"Don't say that, you little shit!" I scream
"Whaat?" She said it in shock.
"If you keep saying nonsense like that, I'll kick your ass!!" I shout at her.
Mumei laughed "Thank you!" She giggled. "Unfortunately, that is the truth. Everything I am telling you may be how things will go, not that I want it to go like that," she told me.
"What?" I mumbled.
"Don't worry, we will avoid the future, right?" Mumei questioned
"Yeah, we have to, no matter what!" I shout
Mumei giggled "Should we find more birds?" She asked me a moment later, as if we hadn't just talked about something serious.
"We have run out," I replied.
"You realize that we can always find birds. I have someone in mind-a friend who was reborn." Mumei told me
"A friend reborn?" I question
"Se... Ta...." She said
"What?" I questioned
Mumei tilted her head. "Huh, that's odd."
She couldn't say what she was saying for some reason. I guess something weird happened.
"We need to find more birds, I guess..." I say
"Yeah, we need more siblings!" Mumei said
"If we don't find any birds, don't get mad. Please don't get mad if we don't see any birds since I don't know if we will be able to find any other birds!" I Said
"I am aware, and I won't." Mumei laughed
"Are you sure?" I questioned
"Yes positive..." Mumei sighed at me.
Mumei looked on and sighed at what she was saying, she was caught off guard and wrapped up in a sealing chain like her father.
"Now I have you!" They laughed
They went to fuse with Mumei, but I got in the way. "Don't touch her!" I shouted
Again, you are getting in my way again, Takahashi Kiara!" They hissed
I smirked at how annoyed Omegaα clearly was. I smiled at Mumei, I could tell she thought I was a blessing in disguise, a crux for her to lean on in a crisis.
"Kiara, win this for me!" Mumei shouted
I looked back at her and smiled softly, saying, "Of course!" I shouted at her.
"You expect to go back together, but I won't let that happen, you know!" They yelled
"Shut up; you wouldn't understand the bond Mumei and I share. I don't like bringing that up, but in this scenario, it's important because I won't embarrass myself again!" I yelled
"If I lost to you again, I would be embarrassed!" They retorted
Yeah, I don't fucking care!" I said
I grabbed her shield and sword, and fire engulfed me it was time to end this battle once and for all...
"Ughh, why did I remember this?" I ask
Mumei had a vacant look on her face. She shook it off a moment later, however, and she bit down on her lip.
"Kiara, I apologize," she told me.
"For what?" I ask.
"It is the fact that I remembered this moment, and this is a memory that we shouldn't be thinking about," Mumei said.
"Don't worry, I want to remember how I saved my little sister!" I told her.
"Wow, you really have a huge fucking ego." Mumei sighed
"I want to protect my little sister!" Kiara said to me
"Well, then we have to find a way to end this then," she said.
She told me that, and she knew that it wouldn't be easy, but still, she should find a way to be able to fight back if it happens again.
"What is the plan?" I ask
"The plan?" Mumei sighed
"What are you planning?" I question
"I have no idea..." Mumei mumbled
She really didn't seem to have a clue as to what we were going to do, but she was concocting a plan at this point. What was she concocting? Here and now, what is it?
"What are you two talking about?" Nerissa asked right after Mumei stopped thinking and was trying to speak.
"You're here now, Nerissa." Mumei said
"Yeah, where is this?" Nerissa asked
"Did you never come into vestige space?" Mumei questioned
"Vestige space?" Nerissa groaned
"Ah-Vestige space is where all of us sisters can speak to one another; it is a special space since we resonate so much," I explain.
"So FuwaMoco would have this vestige space?" Nerissa wondered
"Most likely, they are biological twins." I told Nerissa, who seemed to understand it.
"But then why do we have one and not me and my sisters?" She asked
Nerissa really needs to know how this even happens. It has to do with pain or strong emotion in specific situations.
