Irys pov: Shiori and I were walking down the hallway, and I looked back. "Nerissa?" I sigh

"Where are you two going!?" She asked

"Why is she here?" I ask Shiori

"I have no clue, princess..." She comments

Nerissa cleared her throat. "Shiori, where are you going with her, and why are you so close with her?" She questioned

"Princess- Senpai wants me to—well, I can't tell you that because it is classified information."

"Shior~rin why!?" She asked sternly.

"Look, Rissa, she just wants my knowledge. You can't hear this discussion unless she wants me to say something that you can hear!" Shiori claimed

"Tell me everything!" Nerissa shouts

"I'll tell you something..." Shiori claimed

"What?" I ask.

"The advent of the world... no, the sound of life..." She said

"What about it?" I ask.

"Princess, think about what happened when you were going to explode after we sent the distress call to you."

"You—" I clutched my head.

My body is barely responding; every movement is excruciating to take. I'm going to explode, and I can't move for more than a moment without passing out.

"The world has lost hope."

My brain echoed that for some bizarre reason, as if some entity was watching me somewhere but wouldn't show themselves.

"Irys!" Bae screamed

It was too late; my senses have shut off. I can barely hear and can't see, but I can feel good and bad auras emitting from everyone. I want to fight, but I'm going to be in the way.

"Ame charge!" Amelia screamed as she sent a legion of different dimensions at Omegaα to maul her.

"Tick toc, tick toc..."

The voice rattled my head once again as all the Ame were blown away. Calli then rushed Omegaα, only to be blocked at every attack. "Farewell, Calliope Mori..." they stated.

Before Calli could be obliterated, Ina got in the way, taking the brunt of the attack. Sana screamed out in horror as the priestess passed out.

We were definitely underprepared for this battle; we weren't ready for it at all.

"Irys, don't you dare fire that attack." Ina wheezed

Calli walked up to me and patted my shoulder. We've got this, just focus on stabilizing," She said.

"No, I need to give hope to my family," I said.

A sharp wind projectile shot out and began to slash the tentacles away. It hit Ina in the face and even cut her orange squishie off, but she was resilient and wrapped more tentacles around her.

"Hope and the ancient ones have been giving me a lot of trouble; that's why you must go here!"

Omegaα was stating facts, but at the same time we will succeed, we will win, and we will come out on top because we have to or else the world is in danger. Then again, it already is and has been for a few minutes.

"Nephlim Sword... Slash," I said.

I swung my arm downward, and with a mix of positive and negative energy, I fired a slash that tore into the boundary, temporarily destroying the dimension as it hit Omegaα. There was an eruption from the energy. The best part is that the attack won't hurt anyone, which is good.

Blood began to spurt out of my body as the eruption process began. I looked back at Bae, who was screaming and in tears.

Why did my vision have to come back?

"Bae, that face doesn't have any hope in it. Come on, smile," I told her.

Anerys poked me in multiple places, and my body seemingly stabilized before I collapsed.

"Irys, you need blood, and fast!" Anerys yelled

"I don't think that'll work." I laughed

Anerys glared at me, and I felt tears fall down her face as she hit me, "Shut up!" She yelled

I decided I should take a nap and rest up, and as I closed my eyes, I swear I saw someone staring at me.

I definitely have to wake up soon.

"There was a tick-tocking sound, but you made it right. You are the reason Mumei and I almost blew, right?" I question

"Not the exact reason I wanted you to show up and help us escape," Shiori said.

"Wait, then why weren't you ready?" I ask

"Well, I expected like three of you, not all of you." Shiori sighed

Yeah, Mumei did kind of go overboard with that; she was kind of paranoid, but she was right; we shouldn't underestimate them after all. Shiori seems different now.

"Princess, what are you thinking?"

"Shior~rin, she isn't thinking anything!" Nerissa said

"I didn't ask you; I asked Princess..." She sighed angrily in that moment, but then she called down, "Sorry..." She mumbled

"It's fine," Nerissa said.

I bit my tongue, knowing that something is still off, but I don't want to call Shiori out since she may get mad. She is kind of angry right now, and I don't want to worsen it.

"Anyway, evening has a sound. The concept of sound is kind of odd because which concept invented it, not space? Of course, since sound can't exist in space, is the sound of time a representation or a byproduct of sound being made? Did nature make sound, or was it something else in the world, some higher power?" Shiori said

We don't know if sound is an individual concept or not, so why does she bring this up?

"Nerissa is tough; she is the key." Shiori said

What does that mean? Neriesa is the key. What is she the key for? I need to know what she is the key for. Nerissa seem to he really important she seems really really important but for what purpose what purpose towards the sound?

I want to hear... I want to see what she does.

"Come on, let's go somewhere private."

Shiroi grabbed my hand and pulled me aside. She wants me to hear something alone. I need to know what it is. Right here and now
