"It makes sense, but something in my gut tells me that it can't be true," Ruth told me.
"You probably don't want it to be true, but it must be. There's no other explanation," I told her as I put all the files away.
"So, what do you plan on doing?" she asked.
"I hate to say it, and I'm absolutely going to regret it," I turned toward her. "But we're going to have to work together for this mission." She looked disappointed.
"What?"
"Yes," I replied, "You go rescue Daniel from the RIA since you know the place better, and I'll try to get LeBron to tell me where Rodriguez is and take the Ace Card off him. Understood?"
Ruth opened her mouth to argue but then crossed her arms in submission. "Understood."
"Okay," I concluded as I gathered all the necessary tools and weapons. "Let's go."
