PART TWO
I swung my arm out, capturing his wrist and using my other hand to smack the blade from his grasp. Kicking it before jabbing him in the stomach. "Is that it?"
I scoffed, putting him in a headlock and then jumping over his back, twisting him down to the floor, straddling him with a smile. "Better?"
Dean panted, winded before nodding. I smiled down at him before tucking a piece of hair behind my ear and pushing off of him, walking over to the bottle of water that was sitting on the outdoor table. He sat up and grabbed the knife from the floor, placing it down where my water bottle had just been.
"You're getting good." He smiled and I nodded. "Soon I won't need you." I winked at him and started walking away towards Bobby's house but a hand snaked around my wrist pulling me back. Dean span me into the table and bent me over it, gently pushing my face on the table before bending over me, his chest pressed against my back. "Don't be too hopeful." He whispered in my ear before letting go. I stood up and turned around, rolling my eyes and giving him a shove as he laughed.
It had been a month since we killed the yellow eyed demon, and I had asked Dean to help me train more. I didn't want to feel as defenceless as I did every time that we got into an altercation with some sort of monster. It was also a good way to channel all of my rage, I wasn't going to let the demon win from beyond the grave, I wasn't going to sink into this persona he had created for me, I wasn't going to be evil. Jake was the last and only person I would ever kill. We were staying at Bobby's a lot more, trying to stay updated and close for the next demon attack seeing as we were preparing for an apocalypse. Dean and I hadn't spoken about our kiss, he'd said we would after this was all over but now that all this time had passed I figured it wasn't worth it. Plus, I had something more important to focus on. Getting Dean out of this demon deal.
I rushed across the path over to the impala, nodding at Dean before he walked into the house to shower. I opened the passenger side door and sat down besides Sam. "Is he gone?" I peered out the window, seeing the door shut and then nodded, Sam reached under the seat and pulled out some paperwork.
"You find anything?" I asked, taking the first sheet. It was some lore on crossroads, nothing we didn't already know. Sam shook his head, "Not really, there's a hunter in Minnesota that apparently focuses on crossroad demons and deals, I was thinking of heading up there in a few days, see if he knows anything."
I nodded and leant back, staring at the house. I could see Dean's silhouette in the window as he took his shirt off and stepped into the shower.
"We're gonna figure this out." I said reassuringly ans Sam nodded. "Hopefully before he figures out what we're doing." He half chuckled and I grinned. "Yeah he's gonna kill us when he finds out."
We had decided to work on this in secret, after promising Dean that we would stay out of it and let nature run its course. That wasn't happening and he was stupid to think we'd just let it be, I hated it when we lost Sam and I was not for a second going to think about losing Dean too. Apparently the demon he made the deal with had told him that if he tried to worm his way out of the deal, Sam would go back to being dead, so we had to play it sly so that no one, not even Dean, would know what we were trying to do. The only person that was with us was Bobby, because he agreed that Dean needed our help.
"You've been training a lot. You're getting pretty good." Sam placed the papers into his bag and zipped it up. "I want to be ready for everything coming our way." He nodded slowly. "And it helps with the anger." I said quietly and he frowned at me. "Ever since the demon fed me it's blood, since I found out it was in both of us, I've been questioning everything, my actions, my judgements and my emotions. I'm quicker to anger than I was before, I mean, I killed Jake without a second thought. A year ago that would've been unthinkable."
