POV: Taylor

Dinner with Travis and Lauren on Friday was amazing. Lauren and Riley had hit it off. Travis and I sat back and watched them together, laughing. We talked about the game coming up and how Sunday would work.

The game was in New England, and Riley, Lauren, Brittany and I would fly from Kansas City to New England ahead of the game and then back to Kansas City. Dad, Alana, and Ashley are meeting me at the stadium.

Thankfully it's an early game today, and we had to be at the airport by 9 for our flight. We landed a little before 12 and whisked off to the stadium.

Once we arrived it was a bit chaotic. Dad, Riley and Lauren made their way to the box, while Brittany, Alana, Ashley and I were seen arriving together.

Once we made it to the box, I hugged my Dad, Riley and Lauren. Once the game started, we were all engrossed in the action. I looked down towards Riley and she and my Dad were in deep conversation about the game, with Lauren adding her points. Part of me was jealous, but then I thought about how Lauren must feel about me. At least they both got to be here with us.

“How are you holding up?” Brittany asked as we cheered.

“Not too bad actually. I'm ready for Christmas,” I said, smiling.

“Me too,” she said, smiling. “Are you guys celebrating alone, or is your family coming in?

“Mom and Dad are going to visit Austin and his new girlfriend, but they will visit next week. Scarlett, Colin, and the kids are coming in on Tuesday, then Blake, Ryan and their girls are coming in on Friday, so we will have a full house,” I said, smiling.

“Are they all coming to the game on Sunday?”

“Yes they will all be here. I am not sure about the kids though,” I said, shrugging.

After the Chiefs had defeated the Patriots, we waited in the box for Trav and Patrick to come by, before we made our way back to the cars. I immediately melted into Riley, letting the day melt away.

“Taylor, I don't know how you do it,” Lauren said, looking out the window.

“What?” I asked quietly.

“Hide who you really love,” she said, smiling.

“I honestly am tired of hiding Riley. I want to shout it from the rafters that she is the love of my life. I want to walk down the streets holding her hand,” I said, laying my head on Riley's shoulder.

“That's how I feel about Travis,” she said, grinning. “He is a good man, don't you think,” she asked.

“Travis is the best man. I've known him a long time and it's nice to see him so happy. I have all of you to thank,” Brittany said.

The flight home was quiet, all of us lost in our own thoughts. When we landed, we all hugged, heading to our homes.

“Are you ok, baby girl?” Riley asked, as we walked into our house.

“I'm just tired. I for one am glad we are staying in one place for the next two weeks. I know it's going to get crazy, but at least we will be in our home and our bed,” I said, wrapping my arms around her.

POV: Riley

I could tell both Taylor and Lauren were off today. I know how Lauren feels, like it's all a dream and she really isn't dating Travis. It's hard to watch the love of your life kiss someone else, to see them act like they are in love. I saw the look Tay gave me today in the box, and I know she is feeling the same way.
