Getting to meet Rory yesterday was fabulous. She is such a sweetheart. I never dreamed that Riley would ever see that child again, but I am thankful she is with her now and I am glad she knows the truth. That little girl is nothing short of amazing.

Seeing my daughter with her just warmed my heart. Taylor has always wanted children, but never had the opportunity to share it with anyone. I do hope she and Riley have more children. Until then, I plan to spoil my new granddaughter.

“Morning Mom,” Taylor said, joining me in the kitchen.

“Morning sweetheart, sleep well?”

“Like a rock to be honest. How about you?”

“Like a baby. So what exactly is the plan?”

“Well, the rest of the Kelce’s will arrive later today, along with the Mahomes, the Olsen clan and Moneymakers. Then the caterers will arrive here shortly to deliver all of the food I ordered for this weekend. Oh, and Dad and Austin will be here tomorrow.”

“Um, honey, do you have enough room for everyone?”

“I do actually. The Kelce’s and Mahomes are staying in the summer house, Lizzie and Robbie are staying here, as are Heidi and her sister. Mary Kate and Ashley rented an airbnb since Ashley is bringing her husband and son.”

“Do you have any games planned for the little ones?”

“Yes we are doing an Easter egg hunt for the little ones and then one for the adult’s maybe.”

“So how are you handling having a daughter?”

I watched as my daughter sank onto the stool, clutching her coffee cup, a huge smile on her face.

“She is so sweet, Mom. She reminds me so much of Riley, and she is so talented. I absolutely love her,” Taylor said softly.

“But are you ok with having Riley’s 14 year old daughter living with you?”

“God yes. I will admit I was nervous when we found out and kind of blown away, but I wouldn't change a bit of it. That little girl has been through so much, Mom. I just want to hug her all the time and protect her from the world.”

I smiled, hugging my daughter. “Welcome to motherhood.”

“Thanks Mom, but I’m not really her Mom. I could never replace Jenny. Jenny did an amazing job of raising her. I just hope she will accept me as her step-mom and know I am not trying to replace her Mom.”

“Taylor, I am sure she will. Give her time. Like you said, she has been through a lot and finding out your other parent is engaged to the Taylor Swift, and your cousin is the Scarlett Johansson cant be easy.”

“Good morning ladies,” Riley said, striding into the kitchen.

“Out for your morning walk, baby?” Taylor said, kissing Riley.

“Figured I would get it in before everyone gets here. Are we the only one up?”

“Appears so. Coffee?” I asked, offering her a cup.

“Thank you, Mama Swift. I am going to grab a shower before everyone gets up,” Riley said, turning to leave.

“I’ll join you,” Taylor said, kissing my cheek before following Riley.

“Don’t go making any more grandbabies just yet you two, you have a tour to finish,” I said, sipping my coffee.

“MOOMMMM!!!!!”

I could hear Riley laughing as they went up the stairs.
