Chapter 31

Ira POV

I looked at Vikram sitting and sulking on the couch. I slowly hugged him from the side and kissed him on the cheek

Me: Vikram, whatever happened was very unfortunate, cruel and sad for us. I agree on that but now, we are both sitting beside each other. Its our choice on whether you want to sulk and get sad about the past or if you want to build a future together ? That is if you want me.

Yep, I was turning on my dramatic side on and that actually worked. He looked at me and turned my face to look at him

Vikram: With you, it will always be my yes 

I smiled and he kissed me on my forehead while I snuggled into the comfort

Me: Vikram, I am hungry 

He smiled and pulled my cheeks

Vikram: First snuggles and now breakfast. I am at your beck and call Mrs. Ira Vikram. Lets both freashen up and then we can see what we can make for breakfast.

I nodded and we both brushed together after which Vikram went down to prep for breakfast. Once I was done with my shower he went to take his shower. When I was ready and came downstairs the breakfast was already prepped and ready. He made Oats idly with tomato chutney and some juice.

I went into our prayer room and memories of all the prayers we did together came in front of me. I saw that it was maintained well but it lacked the essence of somebody praying. Vikram came to the pooja room searching for me but stood outside the threshold.

Me: There you are Vikram, come lets pray 

Vikram: Umm 

Me: What Vikram ?

Vikram: When I lost you I took a pledge that I will not step foot into this room

I glared at him and he gulped

Me: Okay, that was then, now I am here. So, lets pray that we always are happy, healthy safe and joyful together okay ?

Vikram: All this days I ignored the whole divine interventions etc ... Now that I got you I am going back, it seems selfish to me. Like, he would have to give me something for me to bow my head before him

Me: Abba, Vikram, just come. Pray, apolozise for all the harsh words you said and ask for forgiveness. He/she will understand why we behaved a certain way because they know we were talking out of sadness okay ?

He nodded and slowly came inside, I smiled at him and he smiled back. We sat together and I asked him to fill my partition with Vermillion. He smiled and slowly filled it kissing me on the forehead.

We quickly did a puja while holding our hands hoping and wishing that we always stay together. Once the pooja was over we sat down for breakfast while he kept looking at me with his hand beneath his chin

Me: What ?

Vikram: This house seems like a home again. The smell of freashly made breakfast, the essence of the dhoop sticks, your perfume fragnance and the continuous dramatic entertainment with your voice, eyes and expressions. I love it !!

I smiled at his words and started having the breakfast feeding each other while David came in

David: Akka, you said you both will be going out today ?

Me: Yes, we will give us an hour. Come, bro, have breakfast.

He nodded and poured himself some juice and started gulping down the fruits with a smile when Vikram glared at him

Vikram: David, how the hell did she manage to get you to help her and Ira, are we going somewhere ?

Me: Vikram, cool. You know how charming I am, it just took couple of titbits of memories we had together and in the end David only wants us together and happy. I told him how I am having these recollections and when I did share some snippets of it, he helped. You managed to place some jewelry on the body they cremated, but I had my necklaces with me. I gave it to the security head and got the footage. Look at me and tell me you are not happy about the whole thing ...

Vikram: Ira but ..

Me: Vikram, look me in the eye and tell me you are not happy with this

Vikram: Ira, my chellam, ofcourse I am happy 

Listening to the fear in his voice David snorted while chuckling while Vikram glared

Vikram: All I am saying is what if it would have had an opposite impact on your health

Me: It did not did it ?

Vikram: But ...

Me: Vikram, eat quickly, we will be going out as a couple today. We will watch a movie, shop and just go on a long drive ...

Vikram: Fine ... 

Me: David will not be joining us

Vikram: What is he doing here

Me: While we both were in coma, and weak, something happened in that hospital Vikram. I want to know what happened there. David will be meeting a lead private investigator and getting those details. 

Vikram: Ira, do you really want to know ?

Me: I was pregnant Vikram. I still have that scar, I want to know what happened to our baby. Was the baby dead or ... did they kill it ...

I cried hiccupying and Vikram held me to himself

David: I will report back to you once we find the truth boss. Sister, you tied rakhi to me, this brother will find out all the what if's. I was there with both of you injured but now I will find out everything. I will even have my friends shadow that Aditya 

Vikram: Thanks brother

David nodded and left while we tried to cheer up for our date
