(Georgie's P.O.V.)
"Gentlemen, today we are not fucking about" Tommy stated standing in front of the men. While I lean against a car, watching him. "I hope you've all obeyed instructions and brought loaded firearms with you". All of them nodded, lifting their weapons up. "Good. You will all know that if you are lifted on a racetrack these days with a loaded weapon, you get 20 years. That's all right, today you won't get lifted" he explained, "because, today, there will be no coppers around to lift you. At exactly three o'clock, there will be an incident in the owner's enclosure. And all the coppers on the track will be diverted, all of them. To look for someone". "Therefor you will be free to operate at will". "Looking for who?" Arthur asked curiously, "Me. They will be looking for me" Tommy said matter of factly. He catches my gaze briefly and quickly looks away. He was up to something else. "now, while the coppers are busy with me, you will make your move on Sabini's pitches. You confiscate his takings, you destroy his licenses and you do it at gun point. He usually had police protection, so he won't be armed. We should aim to complete take over without a shot being fired, understood?". Everybody nodded with understanding. "And remember, the licenses are more importaint than the takings". I pushed myself of the car "before the fun begins, you can all lay 10 bob on Nom De Guerre" I said and handed 10 bob to every single one of them "I hear she's going to win". I walk to Tommy and lean close so I could ask him a question in hushed voices. "What are you going to do that every copper at the derby look the other way?" Needing to know what he was up to. He smirked at me, and patted my shoulder "trust me, sister".

At the Epsom race track

The race track was buzzing with people, excitedly chatting or laying bets. I moved with ease through the crowds. Coppers running passed me, yelling at others to hurry up to protect the King who had came. I smirked as I walked by some of the Peaky Blinders who were taking over the betting area as they held Sabini's men under gun point. Forcing them to handover their licenses and setting fire to it. I walk further meeting Tommy in the owners enclosure. I give him a nodd, telling him the job was done. We look up when Sabini and his right hand man walks in. "Mr Sabini, you're late" Tommy called out to him, "have a seat". The two men sit down opposite of us. "What happened to your nose?" I asked the James with a grin, "you want to have that brother of yours put down?" He questioned in anger, "oh, I tried that. He bit the vet" I said shrugging my shoulders. "I told the coppers that you're a fucking gypsy racketeer Peaky Blinder" Darbi snapped gaining my attention, "they're coming, they're going to throw you out". I glance at Tommy briefly before returning it to Darbi "well, from what I saw, the police are a bit busy right now. Did you win any money today, Sabini?" I questioned and took a hit from my cigarette. Sabine leans to James "where are our coppers? I said to that sergeant one minute, he said two. He's fucking dead". "Like I told you, they're a bit busy". Tommy looks at me, now realising the chaos I had ensued. "Same as my boys. Who are on the track having a little bonfire it seems. Gaming licenses, you know?". Sabini chuckled before cursing under his breath, catching on to what we had done. "You place too much reliance on the police for your security, Mr Sabini. Big mistake" Tommy stated. His eyes narrow and he stands up, placing his hand into his pocket, wanting to retrieve a pistol. "I suggest you remind yourself where you are" I told the man, "you pull a weapon, you are the king's assassin. Now sit down, and stay calm". He scoffed but sits down knowing I was right. "Now, your next mistake was breaking your promise with Alfie Solomons. You promised Alfie, and his bookies, could come to Epsom. He was very hurt when you said no. Very hurt. That's why we are back in business with Alfie" I stated pointing between me and Tom. Darbi looks between us, his eyes widen in anger as he get's up. Then suddenly smashes a wine bottle against the table. Pointing the broken end at us in a threatening manner. Both me and Tommy leap away from him. 6 coppers rush inside "hold it! Hold it!". "It's alright! It's alright, Officers" Tommy exclaims, "he's just a bad loser - get the fuck of me". Both of us are grabbed, each by two coppers and pull us away. "You fucking lose! You fucking gyspy bastards!" Darbi screams after us. We are escorted by them too a black police wagon. "You are now a prisoner of the Red Right Hand" I get told. I scoff and shake my head, fucking Ulster Volunteers.  But had no idea why they where here. Well, I had multiple ideas but none exactly fit the crime to justify their arrival. I then looked at Tommy, realising he must be the reason. "Now, take their hat and guns" one of the officer said holding us under gun point. I was basically stripped down from my weapons before I was lifted into the van. With a sigh the two of us take a seat, side by side. So close that our shoulders are touching. "That's it" he said still holding us under gun point, "you two make yourselves nice and comfortable just going for a wee drive, Mr and Ms Shelby". Tom and I share a knowing look.

The engine is rumbling and the van driving makes us bump into one another. I stare out one of the circled windows from the door. Not being able to detect oir whereabouts. I look up hearing the brakes screech and then the engine stops. Tom and I sit still, waiting. The door opens and once again we are met with a gun being pointed at us. Slowly Tommy gets up and jumps out the van. I follow his move. My feet connect to the ground and I look over the dry barren field surrounding us. Taking in the issolated location. My eyes fall on two freshly dug graves in the earth. With the spades still in the earth. We are allowed one last smoke. I slowly shut my eyes and lower my head realising this was it. Now standing side by side, one final time, me and my brother stare into the graves. 6 officers surround us. 3 for Tom and 3 for me. We both get pushed to our knees. And my heart picks up pace. I had seen death before, hell I had laughed in its face. But now, as I was kneeled in the dirt. I feared it. I shut my eyes and wait. "In the Bleak Midwinter" both me and Tom say in union. Then I felt an unexpected push against my shoulder. Falling into the grave as four gunshots fill the air. I breath heavily and look up. One body laid at my feet in the grave, another laid dead beside my face. With a shakey breath I looked further. Two of Tom's officers had recieved the same demise. Both me and Tom lived. I look up st my 3rd uvf officer, "at some point in the near future, Mr Churchill will want to speak to you, Ms Shelby". I am pantimg rapidly as I watched him, still trying to proces of escaping death once more. "He has a job for you and your brother. We will be in touch". I frown listening to the words, yet they don't mean anything to me at the time. "Get out of the grave, Tinker!". I move to get out, but still in shock it wasn't much. "Be on your fucking way!". Both me and Tommy scramble out of our graves. Once out, I get to my feet, staring at the officer, then with Tommy walk away, across the field. As we leave the two officers to start putting the bodies of the four fallen into the graves. Both of us are still filled with shock and adrenaline, making it uneasy for us to walk normally. Tommy even trips over a ditch before he punches the ground "fuck!". I help him to his feet and we continue to walk in silence. Yet both our faces are convulsed in emotion.

Unlike Tommy, I do not go to the bettingshop to celebrate. Nor do I go home. I go somewhere else. Needing a different place to calm my mind from death I had escaped. I get out my car and hesitantly walk up to the door. My hand raises up to knock, but I hold it still. Should I be here? Was this a mistake? I take a deep breath. Then decide to knock on the door, none the less. Almost immediate regret washes over me and I take a step back, turning back to walk to my car. As my hand falls on the handle of the car door, the front door behind me opens and out came teo words, spoken in that all to familiar cockney accent "hello darling". I look at the ground, shame washing over me, before looking over my shoulder to Alfie. He frowns seeing my emotional expression. Almost immediatly realising what must have happened. He doesn't pry into it, just offered his bed to me. "I'll take the floor" a smirk forms on his lips, trying to make me laugh. Joking about our previous conversation regarding a bed or the ground. He succeeded in making me laugh and I approach him. I lift my hand up to his cheek and smile softly "thank you", I lean forward and kiss the side of his cheek. Thanking him for letting me stay in his home.
