"Watch this." Angelo holds up his phone.
He presses play, Lennox and Zaviano come into view on the screen. Ally, the robotic instructor for our lab's voice, begins a countdown. When Ally reaches one Lennox is thrown back by the air swirling around her.
"Jesus, is she okay?"
"Ugh you're such a fucking sap." A humorous look plays on his face. "She's fine, this was supposed to be funny."
"How is her almost getting a concussion funny?" I question, sometimes I wonder what went on in that head of his. "It's pretty ironic that you call me a sap over her when you run to her for every little thing."
"Whatever." He grumbles. "Where's the asshole we're waiting for?" I, too, would like to know where Milo Pervetti is. If I weren't waiting on pins and needles for what he has discovered I would leave the warehouse we are meeting at.
"Right here." Milo rushes in looking as disheveled as ever. I am guessing the news he has isn't sunshine and rainbow filled.
I can't wait until this is over with.
"Did you get lost?" Angelo sarcastically asks with a shrug of his shoulder.
"No." Milo runs a hand through his hair flipping it from one side to the other. "I was dealing with the situation." He hisses at my brother. Understandably so since Angelo could push anyone's buttons.
"By that I assume you have found out what happened within your camp?" I interject.
This conversation is long overdue. Between dealing with Jackson Dane and my own personal issues at home I have divided off some of my responsibilities. Delegating as Lennox would call it. She said it is time for me to take a step back and dish out more responsibility to my brothers and sisters. When she presented the reasons before me I completely agreed. Though I haven't officially stated that Angelo would now be in charge of business with The Synd's it will be the next step.
Angelo has proven himself worthy enough to head up the task of managing The Synd's and their relationship with the Bianchi family. Within the last four months he has continuously proven himself to not only be worthy of the position, but rather good at it. There is still much for him to learn, but experience is the best teacher. At this point I am ready to see what he can and will do.
"I have." His Adam's apple bobs from the intake of breath he takes. "I owe you and the family an apology." I always knew I would be right, that something within his camp was amiss. Still the vindication and anger I feel at the current events is nowhere near palpable.
"Go on." I demand. The truth of what I have always known he is just now discovering. There are many other ways I could be spending my time right now, instead I am here with him.
"There was a rebellion within The Synds. It took some digging with the books and my own men." By that he looks disheartened and vengeful. "They rebelled in the name of my deceased wife." Huh, that I didn't see coming. "Apparently while here she had been preparing her own men on the side for her reign. Anyways I owe you and your family, you possibly have saved my life."
"And the men that have rebelled, what have you done with them?"
"They're in my basement squirming for their punishment." His normally void eyes go even colder. "I felt I owed it to you to decide their fate."
"Good assumption." I click my tongue. "Angelo will make the decision and get back to you, not only about the men, also where our business resides with one another." Angelo's shocked reaction is quickly covered. He's getting better and better at this.
