We won. Not that I had any doubt-okay after Jackson Dane's arrest I had a shit ton of doubt. Especially while we are awaiting a trial. Much to Fabian's chagrin I finished out my role pushing even harder to get Cameron votes. We put in double what the opposition had and fared well for us. What I think pulled voters to Cameron's side is the speech he gave at the press conference on the day of his fathers arrest. Passionately he spoke about protecting the people of New York even from those in his home.

Jackson's arrest was passed off as Cameron's doing. At first the media tore him apart until social media came in and sided with him. They painted him as a hero who would do whatever he had to keep New York safe. For days they lamented on the courage it took for him to turn his father in. From there all of the secrets began to spill out, still Cameron's support continued unwaveringly.

"You're hovering." Angelo says, his back facing me at the stove.

"I am not. I just came to get a glass of wine." I deny. Truthfully I was hovering over him. How could I not when the food smelled delicious? "See." I say swirling my glass.

Unfortunately at this angle I couldn't quite see what he had cooking up. Like his brothers he's taller than me and blocks my vantage. If I could just get a tiny peek at what he's doing over there, then maybe my rumbling stomach would calm down.

Loudly he sighs when I don't move from my position. I could be stubborn. "Here. One bite, that's it. And don't tell the others." Using a fork he picks up a brussel sprout and holds out to me. Happily I bite off the whole thing.

That's the stuff.

"How much longer?" I ask still on my brussel sprout high. The crispy sweet and spicy flavors still dance along my tongue. The texture and crunch had me ready for a whole bowl of the vegetable.

"Fabian." He calls for his brother when I stay rooted in my spot. "Come get your girlfriend, she's trying to steal all of the food."

"Snitch." I squeal while looking for a quick exit.

Today I have learned how serious the Bianchi's took their holidays. From decorating, to watching the parade, and don't get me started on the number of wishbones I have seen today alone. Honestly it is all endearing, I thought my heart would split in two when we volunteered at the local soup kitchen yesterday. We each took a shift in twos and threes. When we finished up, me and the girls plus Angelo went grocery shopping then Black Friday shopping. Overall the day was perfect.

My escape is thwarted when I see Vivvy and Amara standing in the kitchen entry. Amara has her arms crossed looking as bored as ever, while Vivvy shakes her head in disappointment.

"Don't look at me like that, they've been starving us since we woke up." I say without shame.

"Now that you've been caught, you can come help us with decorations." Oh I'm going to kill Angelo for this. It may not be until after we eat his delicious dinner, but the time will come.

"Riveting." Sarcastically I say.

Facing Angelo I slide my finger across my throat in a slitting motion. The girls proceed to drag me out of the kitchen. I rack my brain for any excuse I could use to get out of this. The closer we get to the dining room the more I run out of time.

"Are you sure you want me doing this? I mean-" Amara cuts me off with a jutting stare. Fabian's right, she's scary as hell.

"Before you start drumming up fake excuses be warned I know how to knock a person out using only two of my fingers." She warns.

"As a lawyer I know you're threatening me." She raises her arched brow. "As a person who would like to stay awake and conscious I'm going to ask. Where would you like me to start?"
