(Think of this as like her first time in this situation.)

I stared at Lena in disbelief as she had a scared look on her face.

"I... I don't know what happened. I didn't mean to" she muttered.

I walked over to her and took the gun out of her shaking hands. I sat it on her desk before I went to go find something to wipe her face off.

When I came back she was standing in the same place frozen.

I gently but quickly wiped the splattered blood that was on her face.

"Lena I need you to listen to me. I'm going to clean this up. I need you to go home. Okay? And put my sweatshirt on you have blood on your clothes" I said as I took my sweatshirt off handing it to her.

"What are you going to do? I don't want to be alone." "Lena I have to clean this up. If anyone sees this it's going to be bad. I know you don't want to be alone and I'm going to try and move fast okay? I just need you to get out of here."

"But what if someone sees? What if someone finds out?" "Then you need to promise me that you will tell them I did this. And if I get caught then I will confess that it was me."

Tears started coming down her face as she shook her head. "But I messed up Y/n. I did this." "Lena just let me do this for you. Let me take care of it." "No Y/n it's not right." "Lena please go home. I will be there soon" I said as I ushered her out of her office. "Go home and tweak the security footage. Do not erase it because then it looks like there's something to hide. By the time you're done I will be back" I continued.

She turned around with a worried look on her face. "It will be okay. We will be okay. I just need you to listen to me. Okay?" She nodded before I kissed her on her cheek.

Once she left I quickly cleaned everything up. I can't tell what happened here. I know this wasn't intentional though.

Thankfully this building has a bunch of chemicals in here.

After I made everything look normal I made my way back to Lena.

I opened the door and immediately heard her call for me.

"Y/n?" "Yes." She rushed to where I was and had a sad expression on her face. I ushered her to come closer and pulled her into a tight embrace.

"It's okay. It's all gonna be okay. I'll make sure of it." "I'm sorry. I just lost control. I was only trying to knock him down. Not kill him. And that was somebody important. It's over for me Y/n." "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I can guarantee you there's no trace that it was you. And if for some reason they find out, you are to turn me in and blame me. No matter what." "But I-" "No. promise you will turn me in for this. You let me take the blame" I said cutting her off.

"I won't. I can't." "Lena I want to protect you. Let me protect you. Let me help you. If you go to jail for this everything you've worked on for your image and company will not matter. It will all go out the window. So promise me that you will turn me in. You tell them I black mailed you into keeping silent. Promise. I need you to promise."

She sat silently. I feel like she was waiting for me to tell her I'm joking.

She stared at me not saying a word. "Promise Lena" I reiterated. She shook her head no with tears welling in her eyes.

"Lena this isn't a debate. Promise me. If it comes down to that I need you to promise me." "But I-" "No. just promise" I said cutting her off.

"Promise" she mumbled quietly. The tears started to finally fall from her eyes. I felt horrible that she was even in the situation to begin with. "It's just to keep you safe. Okay? It shouldn't have to come down to that but if it does I need you to do what you have to" I said as I wiped some of her tears up.

She laid her head on my chest clutching on to me.

"Y/n?" "Hm?" "How did you know what to do?" "My old jobs. I wasn't in the best line of work. I've told you that. I'm glad that I've worked them now though" I spoke softly. "Thank you."
