Chloe's Pov:

48 hours was all the time I could kept track of.

48 hours came and went full of questions and nurses.

The cold temperature they kept the hospital at wasn't a nuisance anymore then it was the first hour we step foot inside.

Nurses would constantly come up to us to check on Aaron, Brian and myself to see if we needed anything.

When we first got here, Aaron need attention as well as Brook for his nose. With all the punches it took to finally keep Aaron down, he nose had already suffered.

One of the nurses had to put a bandaid over his nose but it did little to conceal the bruise that formed.

Brian also need attention but it wasn't presented as first until Brian realized he couldn't move his wrist without it hurting. When he finally got x-ray the nurses soon discovered it wasn't anything to serious but a fractured wrist he got from punching Aaron.

They asked him if he wanted a cast but he settled for a wrist brace.

The hospital was full of gloomy attitude and very familiar faces.

On the other side of the hospital sat Emma, Jenna, and Hanna however, they were here for Koby who got his ribs fractured when he got kicked.

The frustrating part though was, Koby was showing signs of improve while Brook on the other hand wasn't.

They couldn't fix broken ribs with undergoing surgery and if they could, the idea wasn't proposed to Brook.

Brook wasn't allowed to have visitors like Koby was since she was always heavily sedated and had to be watched since she did have internal bleeding.

I can't help but to ask Brook's doctor why she was suffering so much and he simply stated bad luck.

It was a long 48 hours and then some.

"Hey I got you a granola bar and some water." A voice said as they sat down next to me.

Turning my head, I smiled at him and thanked him.

Reaching out to grab the food and beverage, I couldn't help but to look pass him and at Aaron.

Aaron sat a few feet away from us and continued to look forward. He had a serious face on and had his arms crossed over his chest; a position he confided himself too.

As if knowing who I was staring at, Brian spoked up.

"I placed his snack on the seat beside him. Aaron is fine he just having a hard time dealing with this." Brian said.

Nodding my head, I couldn't help but to feel grateful towards Brian.

He was still a college student who needed to focus on his future so he could earn his degree in marketing yet he decided to put that aside to be here for Brook and I.

I couldn't help but to think of the time he told me how he met Brook and how he got into trouble at the mall for chasing after her.

"Any word on Brook's parents?" Brian asked as he opened my bottle of water for me.

Shaking my head, I could help but to frown as I remember the conversation I had with Michelle's secretary.

When I called to speak to Michelle regarding Brook, the secretary wouldn't budge since she didn't believe Michelle had a daughter. I ended up explaining who I was to her to which she finally put me through to Michelle.

To think the secretary knew of my existence thanks to the relationship Brook's parents had with mine since they shared the spotlight several times together.
