We laid in our separate beds in the castle.
I turned to Hanayo.
"Pool?" I asked.
"Pool." she confirmed.
I grabbed a swimsuit, of which I brought ahead of time, and changed in the bedroom's bathroom. Hanayo rushed into her old room to change.
When I got there, Hanayo was sliding into the hot tub.
"It was a little chilly out there, so I wanted to get a little warmer." she said, giving me the warm smile she always did.
I slipped in alongside her. Hanayo stared at me for a while, then, embarrassed, looked away.
"Hanayo? Is something wrong?" I asked.
"N-nothing," she stammered, looking at the other side of the room. Her hands were behind her back, seeming to be moving.
"Hanayo." I said, waiting for her response.
"Hm?" she asked.
"Something's wrong." I answered. She silently nodded. "What is it?"
"It's... it's..." Hanayo started. She couldn't seem to get the answer out of her mouth.
I tried to ease her into it.
"I'm... going to have to leave the castle."
