(Might consider shoving some fanart of mine in the media part)

Nozomi had left, leaving a final "I'm sorry."

Another knock sounded on the door.

"Come in," I mumbled.

It was Umi.

I scoot over on the bed, making a spot for her.

She clung onto me, a tear escaping.

"I never wanted to hurt anyone." Umi mumbled.

"I didn't either." I responded, stroking her back. She clung onto me, her hair disguising the sadness in her face.

That was all we needed to apologize.

"Can we just continue as normal?" Umi asked.

"Yes, anything for you," I answered, trying to calm her down.

The next day, a knock came at my door. I looked at the clock.

21:35.

I rose from my old bed, where I stayed for now to pack.

Umi stood at the door.

I motioned for her to come in, and she stood in front of me.

Umi kneeled down.

My heartbeat began to go faster.

No, just tying her shoe.

That was when she picked up the box she stealthily placed behind her foot.

An engagement ring.

"Hanayo, will you marry me?"

When the words slipped from her mouth I dove towards the floor, trapping Umi in a tight embrace.

"Why wouldn't I?" I responded with a laugh.

But then it all seemed to grow dimmer as I remembered I was leaving.

"It's your last days here. We should make it count." Umi said with a smile.

"Are we even of legal age to be married?" I asked.

"My parents want me to be happy. They're trying to arrange this. I am not going to pass this up." Umi answered, grinning. "New chapter in our life?"

"New chapter in our life."
