Tristan POV
“Man it’s the first day of fall classes tomorrow.” I say. It seems like summer classes just ended now, a nigga gotta worry about football and making sure I actually pass my classes this time around. I can’t be put on academic probation or I jeopardize my starting position and my future as a first round pick in the NFL draft. I know I’m thinking way ahead of myself considering I’m only a junior , but I gotta plan for the future .
“Yeah, I ain’t worried about that though. The season starts in two weeks and coach still hasn’t finalized the offensive line. I’m still worried about getting crushed out there on the field. He should have this settled a future first round pick and Heisman trophy winning quarterback shouldn’t be worried about this shit” Zaire says.
“You ain’t gotta worry about that as long as you get the ball out of your hands and get it to me. We’re as good as gold with me catching all of your passes.” I chuckled. Me and Zaire have been best friends ever since childhood. Once my mom and dad split, my mom moved us to Atlanta, Georgia from California. She told me that she put in little league to make friends but I know she put in because she needed the extra hours at work and when school was over she had no one to watch me. Practice took over little over two hours. So, whether I wanted to play or not. I was playing football. I was placed in the middle age group of kids because I was too fast for other 8-11 year olds to keep up with. All of the older kids clowned me for being younger including Zaire. After about the fifth game of the season, the game was on the line and Zaire threw a bad pass yet I still caught it and TOUCHDOWN! Next day at practice the team started clown me and isolate me as usual, but Zaire started to include me.
“Nigga just try to stay open, them passes gone be perfect” He says.
“Alright, all you girlies. Practice is over. But first all of you give me 3 laps around the field. MOVE Now!” coach yells.
After I finish my laps, I head to the shower. All I can think about is that girl from the coffee shop. Man, she was so angry and rude. Yet she was adorable. She was no taller than 5’3 medium black hair. Gorgeous mesmerizing brown eyes. Her little temper tantrum kinda turned me on. I mean almost every girl on campus falls for the charming smile. It doesn’t work on her though. I gotta see her again just so she can get out of my head.
Next day
“I love bad b*tches, that's my f*ckin problem and yeah I like to f*ck, I got a f*ckin problem, I love bad b*tches, that's my f*ckin problem and yeah I like to f*ck I got a f*ckin problem” My alarm goes off. I should’ve went to sleep before 4 last night, but Nebby came through last night and when a chick is practically throwing the box at me. I’m gone catch it. My first class starts at 9. It’s already 8:45 and nigga gotta shower so I guess imma be late. I hope my professors cool.
Arianna POV
“ Monica hurry the fuck up I can’t be late for my first class” I yell to the bathroom. My roommate Monica has been in the damn bathroom for at least an hour and my class starts in 15 minutes.
“ Stop hurrying perfection, it takes time” she says.
“We’re not going to a party we are going to class no one will care what you look like” I say.
“You may not care how you look, but this here is the UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS, honey! Home of the Kansas Jayhawks. Someone always gets drafted from here. Whether it be basketball or football. It’s a player somewhere walking around this campus that’s going to be rich. And when I say rich I mean rolling in money. So , I’m trying to snatch up a man with a future.”
“Whatever, I just don’t wanna be late “. I say hurrying out the door with Monica in tow.
