Chapter 11

*Yesenia's POV*

Once we got to where they were I said hi to everyone and introduced rayne.

"Hey guys this is my....." I had no idea how to introduce Rayne. Should I say my date? Or my friend?

Before I could say anything Rayne butted in and said "I'm her girlfriend. It's nice to meet you all." When she said girlfriend Demi's eyes got as big as an elephants butt. I looked at Rayne like 'that was not the plan!'

Dallas told us to sit and that we now had teams. It was Dallas, mr.DLG, and madi versus demi,mrs.DLG, Rayne ,and myself. I told them I'd sit out to make the numbers even but Dallas assured me it wouldn't matter because madi was amazing at bowling. Well wait until they see me bowl. I was first for my team and got us a strike. Rayne ran to hug me and held my hand. I smiled meekly and sat down. Next was Dallas and she sadly didn't get the strike. When it was Demi's turn she simply got her ball and threw it. She didn't care if it even hit any pins. Sure enough it went straight into the gutter. Madi went up and got a strike for her team. We were tied and it was Rayne's turn. "You got this Rayne! Come on!" She turned around and winked at me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Demi scowl. Was she mad? Was she mad that I was here? Or was she mad that Rayne was my fake girlfriend? Why would she mad at that? Rayne got a strike. Mrs.DLG and i got up and cheered. I ran to hug her and out of nowhere she kissed me! And not on the cheek on the lips! I was kinda in shock. When she pulled away she smiled and mrs.DLG congratulated us. Madi had school the next day so she,and mr.&mrs. DLG left. It was only Dallas,Demi,Rayne and I. We decided to go against each other. So it was fair Dallas got Rayne and I got Demi. Rayne went to the bathroom and Dallas went to buy some more food. I was left in awkward silence with Demi.


"So...what's up..." She looked up from her phone and gave me a smirk.

"Oh ya know just sucking at bowling."

We laughed and the tension between us seemed to fade. "Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?"

Oh shit. What was I supposed to say? 'I didn't know I had one either!' No, luckily at that point Rayne came back. Saved by the bell.



*Demi's POV*

Yesenia was introducing her when I seriously felt my heart break. "I'm her girlfriend. It's nice to meet you all." What...the...FUCK?! Why didn't she tell me that?! If she had a girlfriend then why the fuck would she flirt with me and cuddle with me?! Dallas broke us up into two teams and sure enough I got put on yesenia's team. Ugh. Yesenia was really good at bowling and her little girlfriend was pretty good as well. We were tied and it was Rayne's turn(what kind of a name is Rayne?!) "You got this Rayne! Come on!" Seriously? She made the strike and Yesenia ran to hug her. And then they kissed! Right in front of me! I seriously think my heart broke. My mom congratulated them on our win and then left with dad and madi. I wanted to leave but Dallas didn't want to go yet. We decided to play another game and I was partnered with yesenia. I felt sorry that she had such a bad bowler for a partner. Rayne left to the bathroom and Dallas to buy more food. It was so awkward between us now as if earlier today we weren't throwing popcorn and jellybeans at each other. I was surprised when she broke our silence. "So..what's..up?" She smiled a little and looked freaking adorable.

"Oh ya know just sucking at bowling." We both laughed and the awkwardness was gone. Of course I had to ruin it by saying "Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?" She didn't say anything and when she was about to Rayne came back from the bathroom. Great timing. I wasn't in the mood for short talk with this girl but apparently she did.

"So Demi how long are you staying in Dallas?"

"I'm leaving tomorrow." Yesenia's smile faded and was replaced by a frown. I felt a little bad because I knew she was sad about it. Rayne on the other hand the biggest smile on her face.

"That's too bad." Liar. I bet she loved I was leaving. Now she had Yesenia all to herself. Hold the phone. I need to figure out my feelings regarding her first. I didn't even know if I liked her as more than a friend. All I knew was that I had strong feelings for her. This sucks cake balls. Thankfully Dallas came back with food. Yesenia grabbed the hot dog and ate it in four bites. She was cute even when she was stuffing her face. Dallas offered Rayne some nachos but she refused to eat anymore. She wanted to lose some weight. Seriously? This girl looks like a stick and she wants to lose weight?! I was about to grab the corndog but I felt self-conscious so I didn't. Rayne and Dallas went to get some drinks and I was left with yesenia again. "She's not my girlfriend." I felt butterflies in my stomach and I couldn't help but smile.

*Yesenia's POV*

Rayne started to ask Demi some questions but I zoned out. Dallas came back with some food but forgot drinks. Classic Dallas. I took the hot dog and scarfed it down. I'm such a pig. I looked over at Demi who was smiling. I must have looked like such a fatty. Great. Dallas offered Rayne some nachos but she didn't want any. Rayne has this stupid idea that she's fat. She weighs like a total of 40 pounds. Not literally but she's pretty skinny. I saw Demi go for a corndog but then stop herself. I know she didn't grab it because of what Rayne said. She's gotten healthier since going into treatment but I mean she still has her moments I guess. Dallas and rayne left for drinks. My mouth and my mind weren't in communication with each other because I told Demi that Rayne wasn't actually my girlfriend. She had a big smile on her face and sat next to me. I picked up the corndog and handed it to her. "Half and half?"

"Sure. So if she isn't your girlfriend then why did she say she was?" Again, I didn't know what to say.

"I don't know."

"Why did she kiss you?"

" I don't know." She sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Okay then what do you know?"

"That this corndog is delicious." She laughed and punched by shoulder playfully.

"I'm being serious."

"And so am I!" Thankfully she dropped the subject.

"I think you should already know that we're going to lose. I suck at bowling."

"No you don't. You've just never had a good teacher." I got up and stuck out my hand. She raised an eyebrow and took my hand. I walked her over to grab a ball. I stood behind her and put my left hand on her waist. As soon as my hand touched her my body temperature rose like a million degrees. I grabbed her right hand and guided her as she threw the bowling ball. I looked straight into her eyes and she looked into mine. I smiled because out of the corner of my eye I saw that we made a strike. She looked over at the screen and smiled.

"Wow, I guess I just needed a better teacher."

"Told ya." Our faces were extremely close to each other. I leaned in a little and it seemed like she was about to as well but in that moment Rayne and Dallas came back.

"Way to cockblock.." I heard Demi say under her breath. So she wanted to kiss me too? Anyways Rayne pulled me over to where she was. "Jealous much?"

"I'm supposed to be your girlfriend remember?"

"I only asked you to be my date." She had a hurt look on her face. "Sorry."

"For what, you're right. I'll tell Demi I'm not actually your girlfriend."

"Don't sweat it. I already did." Her eyes grew wide and she looked kinda angry.

"Wow. Way to make me look like a psycho."

"Sorry."

"It's whatever. Drew called me and said he wanted to hang out. I'm sorry but I have to leave." Oh yay,Drew. I hated him with a passion. He was Rayne's boyfriend and was completely wrong for her. She was a genuinely nice person and drew was a complete sack of dicks! I've told her many times that she can do a lot better but she never listens so I've given up. We turned and faced Demi and Dallas "Rayne has to go".

"Why? We haven't even started the game."

"Because she has to go write a report." Dallas and Demi weren't buying it.

"Yeah I totally forgot about it until like now. It's due Monday so I should really get going. It was nice meeting you." As soon as Rayne left Dallas suggested she and Demi leave as well.

"Nah, I think I'll stay and play one on one with my hobbit." Dallas eyed us a little weirdly as Demi and I started laughing.

"Okay then I guess I'll see you whenever your back or when I'm in LA." They gave each other a hug and a kiss.

"Alright now that she's gone tell me two things. A: why have a fake girlfriend and B: I kinda forgot how to bowl so show me again?" She winked at that last part. I couldn't help but laugh.

"B: I'll show you as many times as needed. I'm a committed teacher. A: I didn't ask her to be my fake girlfriend.......I asked her to be my fake date." She gave me a really confused look. I didn't want to tell her the truth as to why I asked her to be my fake date so I lied. "I saw this girl I like and she had a date. I wanted to make her jealous." Now she looked surprised and hurt.

"Oh."

"Mhm....So are we going to play that one on one or what?" She gave me a fake smile and nodded.

"Yeah ,but go easy on me okay?" We played two games before we decided to call it a night. I drove her home.

"I'm sorry I have to leave so soon Yesenia. It's my job I can't control it."

"I know you can't. Sorry for being a bitch about it." We both smiled and hugged each other. Coming out of the hug our faces were extremely close to each other again and for a second I'd thought we'd kiss. This time it was her phone that ruined it.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. " she answered the call and it apparently was her manager Kevin.

"Yeah my things are packed and I'm leaving tomorrow in the morning. Okay. Okay,bye." She hung up and sighed. "So do you think your crush saw your kiss with Rayne?" Well that was an unexpected question.

"Um I don't know. I actually don't like her that much, I think I just like her because I know she's gay."

"Oh I get that. Sort of." We both laughed. I caught myself staring into her beautiful brown eyes.

"Dem, you have really beautiful eyes."

She smiled and looked down at the floor. It was dimly lit but I could see that she also blushed.

"Thanks. I think you have a really cute smile."

"Look who's talking! You're smile is incredibly beautiful!" She smiled. "See!" We both laughed and she punched my shoulder playfully. She looked down at her phone and it was 11:10.

"I should really get some sleep before my flight at 7am." She leaned closer to me.

"Yeah, even though you don't need any more beauty sleep." She blushed and I unknowingly leaned in as well.

"Thanks." Our lips were inches apart and her phone lit up. I smiled.

"It's 11:11 make a wish." She smiled.

"I'm about to make it happen."
