Asuna's P.O.V.

Asuna woke up in the hospital cot. She sat up and winced. Her ribs were killing her and her shoulder didn't feel very good, either. She looked around to see Kazuto asleep on the side of the bed, holding her hand. Her father was sitting up in a chair, nodding off to sleep. Asuna scooted back and leaned against the pillows. Her father looked up and blinked a few times, shaking his head to clear it.

She smiled at him and tried not to think about why she was in the hospital bed. She was over the fact that it had happened, but she was still upset about it. She looked down at Kazuto and used her free hand to stroke his hair. He stirred and opened his eyes. She smiled at him and he looked up at her, then smiled back.

"Hey Asuna.", he said as he sat up and stretched, letting go of her hand. She watched him yawn and then sit back in the chair. Her father looked at her and stood up. He walked over to the cot and sat down on the edge.

"I spoke to the doctor. I hate to know that a professor did that to you. I would like you to consider switching colleges, but it's up to you. Do you want to stay at Osaka University?", he asked.

Asuna nodded. Just because this happened, doesn't mean that she should move. Mr. Hisakawa had most likely been arrested by now. She would probably be able to continue her degree like nothing happened.

Mr. Yuki nodded and then stood back up, straightening his blazer. He looked at his watch and frowned. Asuna knew what this meant. He picked up his briefcase and then turned to face her.

"I have to go back to work. Kirigaya will stay here with you and tell you some good news to brighten the situation.", he said, winking at Kazuto.

Asuna looked at Kazuto with a questioning look on her face. He looked a little embarrassed, but happy at the same time. Asuna's father left through the curtain, which had been pulled closed. Asuna saw him go out the door, then turned to Kazuto and said,

"Alright, out with it. What happened?"

"Well, I was talking to your dad while you were asleep. We got into a conversation about you. I asked him if I could marry you.", Kazuto said.

Asuna's eyes flew wide. She didn't think that Kazuto would do it so soon.

"And...?", she said, questioning him with a look of anxiety.

"Well, he considered it for a while, then he said...", Kazuto paused, looking down like he was sad.

Asuna's face fell and she almost started crying. The tears welled up in her eyes.

"He said that he wouldn't let you marry anybody else, but me.", Kazuto said, grinning ear to ear.

Asuna felt a tear fall onto her face. She lunged for Kazuto, forgetting about her injuries, and hugged him, laughing with excitement. She cringed as she hugged him, but the pain subsided soon after. He put his arms around her, holding her gently. Asuna thought it was sweet how he was afraid of hurting her.

Kazuto let go as Dr. Song came in. He had his clipboard in his hand and was consulting it. He set it down and pulled out a little flash light. He had Asuna stare at his finger and checked her eyes. He took her blood pressure and checked her heart beat. After that, he had her get up and stand on a scale to find out her approximate weight. She weighed a little more with the brace on, but he subtracted the weight of it and found out her real weight.

Dr. Song put his clipboard down and disconnected the IV that Asuna had been given during the ambulance ride.

"You're free to go. Just take it easy for a couple days. Stay home and don't lift more than 20 pounds until your injuries have completely healed. Come back in three weeks and get a check up on your collar bone. Your rib should heal in about a week or so. If You get dizzy or nauseous, come back and let me know. Also, don't wear your brace in the shower, but put it on as soon as you get out. Other than that, you can go.", he said.
