We finally made it to a beautiful four bedroom condo . When we stepped inside , I was placed into a dark heaven . The scenery was black and red . Everything about it made your heart warm .

"Y'all can look around and choose a room." My mother smiled at us . Bryce and I raced upstairs , searching for a better room . I chose the room right next to the master bedroom . It was all white and comforting . After getting myself situated , I decided to go downstairs .

I entered the living room to see my mother sitting on the floor with her legs crossed with a laptop sitting on her lap . She looked so professional with her glasses on .

I didn't bother to say anything . I sat on the couch admiring her features . She wiped her makeup off and now she just have a natural glow .

"I know you guys are hungry." She stated as she gave Bryce and I a warm smile . I didn't even notice when he came in .

"Hisan is cooking us something to eat." She ran her fingers through her hair .

Bryce and I looked at each other , lost at what we could say or how to even start a conversation . I smiled when I seen her tattoo of Ba'Mier's name on her chest . I see he's really loved .

"Do you ever think of him?" I asked barely above a whisper .

"Everyday." She smiled . "I never go a day without thinking of my babies." She looked at us .

"I see where you get your smile from Bri." Bryce smiled as he admired our mother's smile . I couldn't help but to blush .

"So mom is your favorite color black and red?" Bryce inquires as he looked around .

"Black , red , and yellow." She pushes her glasses farther on the bridge of her nose .

"Are you still struggling with school?" She closes the laptop and sits it to the side .

"A little." He pinched his fingers together .

"Go get your work . I can help you with some things." She said .

"Okay." He stood from the couch and ran upstairs .

"You love track?" She asks me .

"Yea . I grew to love it."

"You didn't like it at first." She stated .

"You received my letters?" My eyes began to get moist . She smirked as she pulled a duffle bag from beside the couch . She unzipped the bag then emptied it onto the floor . Nothing but my letters came out .

"I read every single last one of them . More than once actually."

Bryce came back and examined the letters .

"Why they wouldn't allow you to write back or have visitors?" I questioned .

"Because they didn't trust me." She shrugs .

"What did you do?" Bryce asks as he sat in his original seat .

Uncle Hisan came and stood behind the couch with his arms folded .
