"Like I said before Reighn, don't let Ean's disappearance your fault. We were all asleep that night and tired at the same time." X talked to Reighn when he noticed that Reighn was spacing while walking on the side of the road.

The group passed the dessert and the plain and are now staying in a small village where they are hoping to get a clue on the whereabouts of their friends, or to hear some news about the war that was going on.

The village has no humans on it. But it was filled with fairies, dwarf as well as some were folks from wolves, felines to canines. It was full of diversity and the group felt at home and at peace. The climate, however, was a little cold compared to the nights in the dessert, but nonetheless, they felt safe.

"It's not like that." Reighn looked over at the fruit stand where they stopped for a while. It was round and it was brown, very much like the color of the hair of Ean, or so Reighn thought. "I am just worried if he is ok or what." She shook his head and looked at X. "I just don't want to think that he died or what."

"Ean is strong. He won't die just like that." X looked away. "Even if he is broken."

"Yeah." Reighn looked down. The boys are already broken, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The night folk girl doesn't want to talk about them being broken as she was not ready to ask why or how. Especially the condition of X that is rare to her ears.

"Let's just take a look further" X Suggested and Reighn nodded in agreement.

A moment later of walking, they met up with Kyler who was walking with his weary eyes. The elf stood strong and dignified, but the air around him says otherwise as the paleness of her face makes him look like a dead ready to be buried.

"Heard anything?" Kyler asked the two who were sitting on the park bench where little kids are playing and running. Kyler took a seat just beside Reighn who was looking at the children who seems to be enjoying their time.

"About our friends, none. But for the war, rumors fly around that there was a group of ragtag on non-humans that escaped a noble from the underground city where the free trade of humans and non-humans are still at peace. But I doubt that that peace will last longer." X explained that because of the aggression of the humans towards those groups of non-humans, some speculations from that city that the humans would really want an all out war with the world.

"That is because the noble from that skirmish didn't give out the reason why they would send a battalion just to capture that group." X continued his explanation.

"Humans are greedy." Kyler breathed a low voice.

"Not all humans are." A stranger talked to them. The three looked to a man who is wearing simple clothes that comprised of white shirt that is to better fit his lean, fit physic, black jeans that are perfectly tailored to his legs and leather dirty boots. The three concluded already that the human in front of them is some sort of noble, just from the looks.

"You are?" X glared the human in front of them. The human just looked at them with a grin on his lips, but Reighn couldn't feel his intention.

"Don't try it missy night folk, you won't be able to sense a spirit." Reighn was shocked that her ability to, at least, feel the intentions of those around her.

"What do you mean a spirit?" Kyler asked the human, "our eyes can't be wrong, you are a human," the elf said it straight and simple.

"But can a human do. . ." The human in front of them disappeared from their sight, and from their senses. They panicked a little and looked around. "Can they do this?" And they all looked where the voice of the man came from and he was already laying on the bench as if he was relaxing. But he was still grinning, and looking at them deviously.

"Alright, you are a human spirit." X passively spat his irritation. The man just laughed while getting up.

"You are one cocky brat for a failed experiment huh?" And X's eyes turned black that alerted Kyler and Reighn that X's emotions were being pushed to the limit again.

"X, don't make a scene here." Reighn pleaded.

"Stop it, you'll kill the whole village." Kyler grabbed X's shoulder and tried to calm him down.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, easy there boy, I am not your enemy. I am merely just someone like you." The human spirit then backed a little since he felt a strong fear when he saw X's aura went dark.

X calmed after a few seconds of deep breathing and trying to divert his attention to somewhere. After a while, he looked back and kept a safe distance from his friends. "That kid reminded me to never tick off those who are quiet. Like that one wizard from the kid's memory."

"What do you mean kid's memory? You can see it too?" Reighn asked the human spirit in front of her who was trying to scratch his head as if a habit when he did something wrong.

"Yeah, I was entrusted with a memory, but unlike you bunch, I was not reincarnated. I lived through with his memory still intact." He simply said and he sat down on the bench. "You see, I was once a full flesh and bones human serving under him as a spy, but before he and the other elite went missing a few centuries back, I was entrusted with a fragment of memory." It left the three with lots of questions as they looked at the human spirit,

As they were to ask a question, a series of white orb fell down from the sky. "What is this?" Reighn looked at the flakes. "They looked beautiful."

"It has the same name as me." The human spirit stood up and extended his arms to the group. "My name. It's Snow!"
