During the night...

It was a cool night atop the bakery. Marinette had been watching the deep blue sky. City lights outshine the stars; most noticeable in the city of Paris. Her home was still beautiful without them though. The lights shined and glimmered on the buildings in an array of warm colors. They were painted nicely against the almost black night.

"Quite a sight, eh Princess?"

Marinette didn't need to turn around to know who mysteriously accompanied her on the rooftop. It wasn't a surprise anymore. "Chat," she replied nicely. "Fancy seeing you on my balcony this evening." Oh, how she hated how he was rubbing off on her.

She rolled her eyes playfully as he smirked. "You know me. Clawing my way to my haven."

"That one didn't even make sense," she sighed mockingly.

He smirked. She threw a grin back. "You're my haven." She blushed.

He had been dropping by her house for a long time now. Sometimes he'd stay for a minute, or an hour, or half the night. It all started when he first 'saved' her from the date with Nathanael. Marinette had found it amusing when she saw Chat Noir with someone else besides her Ladybug-self. Being amused, she wanted to see him again in that state. She, in her alter-ego, had began setting up random days where she'd tell Chat Noir to visit Marinette, just in case someone would target her again.

They had funny moments when he first started to stop by. He'd flirt, make puns, and act as egotistic as ever. Marinette had asked him one of the first days, if he flirted with every girl he saw. He smiled and told her, 'of course not, princess! I would never betray my Lady!' She asked him why he flirted with her if he liked Ladybug. 'I'm only treating princesses how they should be treated.'

After that, they began to see each other a bit more. He told her all his feelings for his Lady, which were so exaggerated she couldn't help but laugh. He responded similarly as she poured her heart out over Adrien. She didn't tell him her crush's name, because he would have laughed regardless (yes, he did laugh!). They teased each other over their want-to-be-lovers. At first, it seemed uncomfortable for Marinette, actually being Ladybug, but he somehow knew to not duel on his crush for too long. He once said she might get jealous. She laughed then.

They saw each other months at a time then. It turned to weeks. Chat Noir began to come on his own accord.

It started when he jumped on her roof during a storm. The rain was tapping the glass hatch, causing his tap for entry something that was heard to hear. She panicked at the sight of him when she woke up. She was quick to get an umbrella and let him in. Afterwards, the girl scolded him for doing something so stupid.

He didn't listen to her. He only hugged her tightly, as though she'd disappear if he let go. She was going to ask what was wrong, but she had known. She was nearly eaten by a dinosaur as Ladybug. He hugged her alter-ego like that. She didn't ask why he hugged her nor did she ask him to let go. Ladybug was reckless then, and he must have still been upset.

She didn't blame him. Since that stormy night, he visited every week.

This day was one of them. Marinette smiled at his cocky smile. "You silly kitty." She kissed the top of his head as he was crouching on her railing. He purred and raised his chin for his head to lean against her lips.
