Chat landed on the balcony as graceful as cats come. His boots hardly made a noise when he landed; Marinette didn't even turn around to greet him yet. He smirked childishly as he slowly balanced on the railing, careful to make no involuntary movements and swayed his tail to extra balance. As his steps edged closer to her, he slowed more and more until reaching a full stop. The quiet Chat took in a breathe and released it without a sound. He was going to stand when—

"Hi, Chat Noir!" The girl abruptly said.

Shook by the unexpected action, the cat recoiled and nearly flung himself off the building and collided into her furniture. Luck wasn't in his side with Marinette giggling at him like she saw the most hysterical thing on earth. He narrowed his eyes and poured his lips. "That was just cruel, Princess." he scolded.

She only smiled down on him coyly before saying, "Alls fair in love and war, Chaton."

I've been doing some grim prompts in this book, so here's some light-hearted MariChat. I worded it so you can imagine it for Pre/Post-Reveal.
