She stuck out her tongue and whirled away to get the TV back on to watch a cartoon.

However, Jian swiped the remote out of her hands, wiggling it between his two finger cockily. She glared at him in frustration and crossed her arms. Her instincts told her to grab it back, but she remembered last time he would only switch hands..

Instead, she prompted to go to the turn on the machine manually, but he already pressed the button to turn it off.

She glared again at his smug face which twisted into a smugger one, if that was even possible. She jumped to grab it from him, catching his shirt to hold him and stretching to reach the device. Jian was shocked by her pounce and tried to push her back with an arm, but her force was strong. Her hand attempted to nab it, but his cursed arm was too long. Her legs then climbed to couch and she stretched her body to lean forward for her remote. Jian leaned farther away and had to push harder as her hand pressed against his cheek. He scowled and stepped away from her, pulling his arm that held her as well.

Marinette's chest filled up with fear and a scream as her eyes widened at the sight of her brother far off and the floor. Her arms flared out in attempt to grab anything, her hand found his arm and by reflex her other hand followed.

Before dragging Jian to a fall, he widened his stance and raised his arm so to pull her up, still keeping the remote away.

She wailed and gripped his arm. "Put me back!"

He stepped forward slowly, hearing her legs run against the couch. Her eyes were still locked on the device, so he quickly shoved her away with his arm and step away.

Marinette stumbled back but didn't die. She steadied herself and glared. With determined eyes, she jumped on the couch and tried to jump at him, but was too slow.

Jian stuck his tongue out as her ran off towards her stairs. She scrambled behind him for it. He climbed up and slithers through into her room. When she reached the top, she tried to push the hatch up, but it didn't budge.

"Jin. Maman said you can't be in a girl's room!" She called out. She heard him play with her lock and stamper in her room. She tried the hatch again, finding it to hardly move again. "Gimme the remote!"

"I'll give it back when Maman comes back."

"I want it now!"

"Go do something else, like read a book. Papa always said that if you don't start to get skill at something, you'll have a hard time finding it possible to have any."

Marinette frowned, angry. "Papa never said that."

She heard him scoff. "Not the French Papa. Papa back home."

She rolled here eyes. "I want the remote."

"Go draw or something."

"I don't wanna."

"Is it cause you can't?" he asked.

"I can!"

"Then why don't you?"

"Maybe I will."

She nodded to herself at the memory. She turned back towards Nathanael and smiled nervously. "Yeah. That's how I got into drawing in general. Slowly I became more interested in clothes and started making all my own designs. And now, here I am drawing away."

He nodded as he skimmed through her sketchbook. "Now I know why you're so good. How old were you when you said you started."

"About four or five I think. Maman said I used to try and help her "paint" the walls with my crayons, but I'm not sure."

"Wow," he awed. "I only got into drawing when I was about ten." She giggled at him, and he smiled back with pink cheeks. The boy was about to talk more about her style when a certain question was asked.

"Hey, Marinette. How are you?"

The two turned their heads to see Adrien Agreste walk over with a model smile, color painted their faces. Nathanael was white from seeing whom he couldn't compete against when it came to attraction. Marinette was red with embarrassment and fear and nerves. Alya who was behind him was smirking, all knowing with Nino who was calm but worried.

With a splutter of mouth noises, she gathered her things to try and give herself an excuse to leave, knowing she couldn't face him on her own. Nathanael rose up and waved at the model anyways, to mask his uncertainty of position (or was it jealousy with certainty). "We're great. How about you?"

Adrien stopped before he fully approach, practically blocking any chance Marinette had to escape. He was a bit stunned by the boy answering for Marinette. He looked between the two and the bench they sat in where they had seemed to be leaning in on each other from afar. He blushed. "I — if this was a date, I'm sorry if I —"

Marinette shook her hands quickly and answered, "No! It's not a date. We're not a date— dating. What I meant to say— um— couple! That we're not a couple!"

"Yeah," Nathanael added. "I mean, Marinette's cute and all, but I we're just drawing buddies."

"Yes!" Marinette confirmed quickly as she pointed to the boy. "That."

"Well, then. If you're not busy. Alya and Nino have four Captain America tickets and offered me one, but I do t know who else to give the last one too. If you two are dating maybe —"

"We're not!" they said. "Besides I'm more into the comics than the movies." Nathanael said. He turned to Marinette and offered a comforting smile. "See you tomorrow, Mari."

"See you tomorrow." She replied without a stammer.

Adrien lifted an eyebrow at how they waved at each other smiling goofily, both red faced. 'Are they really Not dating?' he thought to himself.

As much as Adrien and Marinette are canon, I can easily ship Marinette and Nathaneal (and in all seriousness, have nothing convoluted). They seem so perfect it's a bit sad that he's just a second choice for Marinette.
