♫♪♫ Please take a moment to read this? :) ♫♪♫

Hi! I just wanted to ask you guys something and yeah, this may be a bit early to ask you guys this, but I'm gonna ask it anyways, lol.

Would you guys be interested in a sequel to this story, or do you think this story would be better without one? 'Cause I have two different endings currently planned out: one involves a sequel, one does not. If you guys want a sequel, I'll make one. I just want to know now, so that way, I'd know how to continue on with this story.

It'd be awesome if most of you could drop a comment; just a simple 'yes' or 'no' would suffice! Even PM me if you don't want to comment below. Pwease? It'd help me a lot! :3

I just don't want to end up writing a sequel and then find out that no one's even interested in reading it. :( If I get enough 'yes' replies, I'll post the title and summary of the sequel at a [wayyyyyy] later chapter.

Anyways, thanks for reading this! Hope you enjoy this chapter. :)

Chapter Eighteen

Can I Talk To You?

“Lola…?” whispered Ivy.

“Yeah?” she whispered back.

Three hours had passed since the end of the competition. We were lying on our beds and staring into the abyss of the ceiling as we waited patiently for sleep to claim us. Except, I think Ivy had thought I had fallen asleep, since I was breathing at a constant rhythm and had my eyes closed and had been silent for the past hour.

“I think Carson likes her,” I heard her whisper softly.

“I think so, too,” Lola replied.

“Really?”

I felt her turn around in the bed. Ugh, I really wished Lola would’ve traded beds with me—I’d rather sleep by myself than with someone as annoying and ADHD as Ivy.

“I’m only speculating. It just seems…you know how when a guy likes a girl, but is afraid of his own feelings, he’d start treating her meanly so that he’d convince himself that he doesn’t like the girl?”

“Yes!”

“I think that’s what Carson is doing. I mean, I may not be a pro at sighting romance, but I think there’s something going on between them, even if they don’t know it yet,” Lola mused.

I felt my cheeks burn. Ugh, I am so glad the lights aren’t on and my friends can’t see me or else it’d be seriously embarrassing.

Something going on between Carson and I? Ah ha, ha, ha, that’s too funny! Oh Lola, how you make me laugh.

“You don’t think Jules is awake, do you?” asked Lola, nervously.

Oh no, not at all, I silently (and sarcastically) think to myself. Carry on with your conversation.

“I don’t think so…?” said Ivy. I felt her lean in towards me and I willed myself to not blink under my closed eyelids. “Yeah, she seems to be asleep.” She leaned back away from me and then said (and I can practically imagine her frowning as she said this), “Don’t you think Sterling likes her too?”
