Promise you'll let me know,
Promise not to hide it from me
If this love of yours grows cold.
Promise not to beat the bushes
Promise you'll tell it to me straight.
Promise not to play with emotions
If you no longer want to stay.
Promise you'll tell me
If you no longer love me.
Because I'd rather be the first to move on
Than to find you someone else's arms.
