"Dipper! Dipper, quickly!!"

A pair of hands were gripping my shoulders tightly, shaking me violently as my eyes shot open.

"W-What!?" I panted, my heart racing from the shock of being woken so suddenly. Through the darkness of the early hours of the morning I saw Bill sitting over me, a panicked expression plastered on his face. His hair was dripping with sweat, and his eyes were glowing a bright blue. He stopped shaking me as he saw I was awake and alert, and his eyes began to brim with tears.

I sat up and immediately embraced him tightly. "What's wrong?" I asked calmly in an attempt to soothe him. He seemed petrified the poor thing.

"S-Somet-thing is r-really w-wrong." He stuttered through quick, strained breath.

"Hey hey, calm down. You're hyperventilating." I said, cupping his face with my hands. He closed his eyes, his lips quivering as he lightly nuzzled my hands. A few stray tears wet my hands as his breath began to ease. "What's wrong?" I asked quietly.

"M-My magic. I... I c-can't control it. And something's going on. I don't know what it is but just... the atmosphere, the area; I don't know I just feel claustrophobic. Like the walls are closing in a-and I can't breathe. Something is really wrong I'm feeling paranoid and nauseous and out of c-control even. I-I..." He quivered, his voice cracking.

I looked around the dark room, my eyes resting on the closet. Taking Bill's shaky hand, I took him to the closet and opened it. Our infinite wardrobe was gone, replaced with a regular old closet. I opened my bedroom door and walked to the lounge room, peering out the window. Everything looked okay, but I was getting the same vibe Bill had. Maybe it was just the fact that it was dark and cold, making it seem spooky, but I was feeling a bit weird. I continued to look outside, feeling something was off. Staring a little longer, the landscape began to turn a light shade of translucent purple and it began to shake and ripple as if it were water. My eyes widened in fear as the world seemed to shrink and grow closer. I saw what Bill meant.

Shutting the window and closing the curtains, I walked backwards with my arms out to protect Bill whilst still staring in fear at the curtains. I began to feel worse than before. My throat was closing up and I started to sweat. I whipped around and looked Bill in the eyes.

"Y-You're eyes are glowing blue." He stammered. I gulped.

"Something really is wrong." I said.

I brought Bill back to the bedroom and shut the door, sitting him on the bed as I paced the room nervously. I even started to feel a bit dizzy, stumbling as I walked.

"Sit down." Bill mumbled, taking my hand and pulling me down.

"W-When you said you couldn't control your powers," I said. "What did you mean?" I asked, looking at him.

His expression faltered slightly as his eyes averted to his hands. A small flame started to ignite in the palm of his hand, but with a small pop and fizzle it went out. My eyebrows furrowed looking at the glowing remains in his palm that quickly died out. "I feel like all of my powers are draining, even my life itself. I feel weak. Something's going on. I know it's sudden but I think right now..." He said quietly, looking me in the eyes. "We need to leave."

"L-Leave where?" I asked, a bead of sweat dripping down my face.

"I don't know j-just... out of here! It's not safe! Just for today until we figure out what's happening." He said quickly, grabbing my hand and pulling me up. I stumbled a bit, feeling slightly lightheaded.

"Bill, I don't kn-" I started.

"P-Please, Dipper!" He cried, pure looks of pain and distress painting his face. I couldn't help but scrunch up my own face in pain. I nodded quickly as we raced out of my bedroom and out the front door. What was Mabel going to think? As we took the first step off the porch, I felt an excruciating pain shooting up my leg as if I had fallen onto concrete from a ridiculous height. My leg felt like it had broken on impact. I screamed bloody murder as I jumped backwards, falling back onto the porch.
