"Nervous?" Prof. Jordan looked at me as we walked up the steps of Capitol Hill.

Senator Marshall, surprisingly agreed to personally meet with us. I have a strong feeling Quincy had something to do with this. 🙄

He just won't let it go. He repeatedly  tries to make amends, but I am not here for his disrespect of me. And since him and Noelle have become friends, It means I have to spend more time around him. I try to make it work out of respect for her, but he's so annoying and he's not even all that cute. Although I have to hear Noelle talk about him non-stop. Like girl, he has a unibrow. Nothing is cute about that. 🙄

"A little." I let out a nervous laugh. Usually in my internship I was back at Pacific Garden Missions offices making phone calls and stuffing envelopes trying to get people to support our cause and donate money, except for the occasional meeting Prof. Jordan would let me sit in. He was nothing like Quincy tried to make him seem. He was always professional. Always. It's not even cool to make up things about people like that, especially someone who has been nothing but kind to me. I'm convinced Quincy thinks I'm some naive freshman and just wants to play mind games with me. What a loser.

Anyway, today is my first day I actually get to go in Capitol Hill. You hear about it. See it on tv. But to actually be there. A place that's apart of American history is pretty cool. I wished I could've told Miri and Morgan. But Morgan was Leary about me working with him. And well, since me and Amiri Have a class with him, I don't want it to seem
Like I'm a suck up. So they still don't know. I just tell them it's for a club at school. Their convinced I'm pledging a sorority.

"You've researched. You've studied just be yourself." He held out his fist to me. I smiled and bumped mine against his as we walked up the gigantic steps and into the building.

"Wow. It's so big." I smiled and looked around.

He chuckled and led me up stairs to the congressional offices, where the Senators and Representatives offices were. We arrived at Senator Marshall's office.
