Later that day.

India P O V:

I laid on the bed with my arm over my face. Jake was sleeping, but I couldn't. I still can't believe he's dead.

I've been crying since Jake went to sleep. I-I feel so alone, knowing he's no longer in the other room or just a phone call away. My phone vibrated, making me to jump,

'Chres ' it buzzed, I picked up immediately.

"Chres.." I exhaled. "Hey, how's Florida going?" He asked.

I sighed, "-just the first day's been horrible.." I said, beginning to blubber helplessly by the end.

"India, what's wrong?" He asked.

"It's-, it's my uncle- he's-he's dead." I cried hysterically.

He fell silent and didn't speak for a while.

"Chres.." I called.

"I'm so sorry, India. I wish I could help you get through this." He said.

"Mm, so do I. I mean now, I have no idea how we're coming back over. But for now, we're sticking to Florida."

"I feel you. But, don't go do anything you'd regret now." He consoled.

I chuckled, "I wont, I'm just doing what's right. How is it back over there, anyways?" I asked.

"It's been pretty boring lately. But, everyone's going to Rayan's for a party later, so that should be pretty turnt." He replied.

"Who's going?"

"Rachel of course and all her little cheer buddies, my team, just everyone really."

"You and Rach still split?" I asked.

He chuckled, "Hearing that would make you happy, huh?" He laughed lowly. "-yeah, I want nothing to do with her." He continued.

"Well, Chres look. I'm gonna go, It's getting late and I'm exhausted. But I can call you tomorrow, alright?" I said.

"Sure thing." He chuckled.

"Okay, by-" "Wait Indy-"

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"I miss you." He snickered lowly, his sleepy voice creeping in.

Eeepp..

He misses me?

-can he be anymore perfect?

"No, I miss you too, huh?" He said, his voice running a bit more serious.

"Oh, no Chres, of course I miss you too, stupid. I miss you a lot more than you think." I replied shyly.

He chuckled, "That's what I thought, babygirl. speak later, Indy." He said, just before hanging up.

I put my phone down and flipped onto my side, facing Jake's bare back.

"Jake, what's wrong with me?" I groaned, as I traced my finger down his spine.

"Nothing-" He chuckled in a croaky voice.

"You're up?" I chuckled in slight surprise.

"Yeah, I heard you on the phone to Chresanto." He replied, turning over.

"Why didn't you wake me up to comfort you?" He asked, sitting up a little, leaning on his elbow.

"I wanted to be alone." I sighed.
