I snarl as a rogue charges at me and I simply knock it away like nothing. The Luna, my best friend, shivering behind me. The Alpha at her side, guarding the back of me and her.
We were in the middle of a battle and so far, we happened to be losing. Too many fatal injuries as both sides still continue to fight. Rogues have been more of an issue lately which has all of us in fear that this day would come.
Our pack against this rising numbers pack of wolves. They don't stop, more and more pouring from the forests dense and dark perimeter and into the valley.
I bite into a near wolf's shoulder ripping it open, another pounces on me but immediately I shake him off, burying my claws into his chest and my teeth into his neck. With a howl of pain my Alpha notices our numbers are far to low to win.
Taking in how we won't win this battle he howls for a retreat.
He and my best friend run in one direction, and I another. Slowly they fade away, I slowed my pace to try and figure out my surroundings, bad idea.
A wolf jumps on my back and rips the side of my throat open, and with that I'm slowly dying.
