Promise

Break-in

I hear a crash from the house and Henry yelling "Mom!"
Oh my god "Henry!" Me and Killian rush in to find Henry staring at someone..
"Henry! What's wro-" I stop dead I'm my tracks when I see who Henry is looking at.
"Neal.." I say backing into Killian. Neal. How is he here? Why?
Before I can question anymore Killian whispers next to me asking "Neal? As in the Neal? The one who abandoned you?" I just nod still not able to say anything
Killian's back straightens up and Neal utters the his first words "Emma I'm sorry" this seems to infuriate Killian as he walks over to where Neal is standing and swings straight at Neal's jaw.
The impact almost knocks Neal down but he regains his balance. He looks up at at Killian "Who the Hell are you?" Neal says spitting blood on the floor 
     "Who the Hell do you think you are breaking in here. Get. Out. Or I'll call the cops"  Killian says glaring at Neal
    I walk next to Henry and pull him close.
       "No way I'm here to talk to Emma" Neal says shoving Killian walking past him and looks at me "Emma don't you owe it to me. To talk to me"
    My eyes widen in shock and anger "I don't owe you anything! Get out of my apartment!" I say spitting the words with venom. He thinks I owe him.
     "No" he says crossing his arms like a little kid "I asked around and apparently your living here with a kid" he says looking at Henry and wiping the rest of the blood off his mouth
     "That's none of your business" I say stepping in front of Henry "You don't deserve to know anything about me"
      Henry moves next to me
       "Really? How old are you kid?" Neal asks Henry
      "I'm 15" Henry says
     "15?" Neal says looking at me "Who's his father Emma?"
      The look on my face gives him the answer
     Henry looks at me then at Neal then asks me "Is this? Is this my dad?" I nod slowly when Henry's eyes get filled with rage and turn to Neal and he yells "You're the asshole that let my mom go to prison for your crime?!"
        Killian looks over at me raising an eyebrow clearly suprised at Henry's out burst. I told Henry everything but I wasn't expecting this
     "Yeah yeah it wasn't even that long what two months?" Neal tries to defend himself
      "Eleven" I say weakly then louder I say "Eleven months. You set me up. I was 18!" I say pointing a finger at my self when I said 18
     Neal looks suprised at this but then shrugs and says "at least you had food and shelter"
     I can't believe this.
    "You bloody son of a b-" Killian starts but I interrupt him "Killian he's not worth it"
   "Really? That's not what you thought all those years ago did you?" Neal says smugly and we all look like we're ready to kill him when he says "Look I just came to see him" he nods towards Henry
     "You're not getting anywhere near him" I say
     "He's my son"
  "You didn't even know I existed" Henry says
     "And that's my fault" Neal says pointing to his chest 
   "My mom didn't need to tell you anything" Henry says defending me
    "I think it's about time you leave" Killian says walking towards Neal
     "Wait. What's your name?" Neal asks Henry
    "Why?" I ask at the same time he says "Henry"
      "Well Henry I'll see you soon" Neal says before walking past us and out of the apartment
    Killian goes over and locks the door before turning to me and engulfing me in a hug. He kisses my forehead before saying "I'm so sorry you had to go through that. He's horrible"
   I sniff tearing up "yeah he is"
  Killian moves and puts a hand on Henry's shoulder "How do you feel?" Henry looks at Killian's hand that's resting on his shoulder then to Killian "Disappointed. Disappointed that my dad is.." he look up at me "a bad guy" Henry says looking away
"No".."No!" Killian says louder "We are going fishing okay" he turns to Henry gettting his attention "Henry, no matter what happens with me and our mom anythng you need i'm there okay? Neal doesnt dserve you , but no matter what I'll-I'll be like
a-your..dad"
I cover my mouth with my hand. I can't beilive h just said that. Henry looks at him and just nods then walks over to me and gives me a hug "I love you mom"
I hug him back and mouth "Thank You" to Killian an he nods "Let's go!" He says grabbing Henry's shoulder and my hand "This day might have started off sower but that doesn't mean it has to end that way. C'mon grab your camera. Your chariot awaits" Killian says ushering me out the door while Henry runs and gets his camera. Thank God for Killian.
I just hope Henry's okay, I know better than anyone how much Neal can mess you up..
