Promise

Mall

   It's been two days since Graham and I went to the bar. So far we found Robins kid Roland but to my suprise he is a little boy. Now I see why Robin was so worried over him. So much for him helping to get his dad out of jail.
      Robin is still in the holding cell in the station. He's gonna stay there until his trial which is coming up soon.
     Killian has been taking me out even more and almost every morning he brings me coffee. Today he's taking me to work and I'm running late. He said he's gonna be here at 9:00 and its 8:57. I finish putting my hair up and go run to put on my boots. I hop to keep my balence sliping the first one on.
*Ding*
    "Coming!" I say grabbing my purse and looking at myself one more time in the mirror. I fix my scarf and head to the door "Sorry I woke up late" I say sheepishly opening the door
  "It's okay love, I had to grab something on my way here anyways" he says and I notice one if his hands is behind his back I look back up at him and he sticks his hand out and it reveals a beautiful red rose. "Emma Swan?" He starts getting down on one knee "Would you do me the absolute pleasure and be my girlfriend"
   I was flattered but surprised. We went out but we never made anything official. I realize that I didn't answer when I saw his expecting eyes looking up to me.
    "Yes! Of course Killian I would be honored" I say and he gets up and kisses me.
   "Now shall we?" He says in a polite tone extending he's arm to me
   "We shall" I say the same way

    "I need to get out of here!" Robin yells at no one in particular
  "Getting angry won't help" Graham says sighing "You need a good defense lawyer"
  "I can't afford one"
  "Maybe you can" Graham says picking up his phone and walking out
   After he steps out I look at Robin and say "Technically you have the right to a lawyer but the one they'll give you won't be any good most likely"
    He nods deep in thought
    "Good news" Graham says walking back into the room "I got the best lawyer in the state"
   "I already told you that I can't afford a big time lawyer"
"Well her name his Regina Mills and she's going to come and review your case. If she deems you worthy she'll do it for way less than her usual rate so you can afford it.
   "No way" I say. That is really generous.
  "She will. We just need to find as much evidence as we can so she decides to take the case" He says sitting back down   
    "That's great! When is she coming?" Robin says
    "Next week"
   "Okay then we better get going" I say and Graham follows me out

    So far we spoke to some of Robins friends to use their statements.
    "I hope this is enough" Graham says
"It better be" I say putting a file on his desk. "Well I'm going to head out. I might go walk to Henry's bus stop and we walk home together"
"That's kinda far. Do you want a ride?"
"No it's fine" I actually want a ride but I don't want to really see him that much out of work. Now I have a boyfriend and I don't want to miss this up. Killian's too important to me.
As I'm walking down the stairs of the station I get a text
Killian☺️
How's work love?

Pretty good I'm leaving work now

He doesn't reply after that. I walk out there isn't any cars parked in front of the station,and the sun is shining in my face so I look in my purse for my sun glasses. By the time I find them and put them on I look up to see a familiar convertable..
  The best looking man I've ever seen walks out and opens the passenger door.
     "Your chariot awaits miss" Killian says in a big smile
   "Killian you came! Thank you I really didn't feel like walking" I say getting in
  "Well a good boyfriend never lets his princess walk home alone"
   "Well your a prince then" I say smirking
  "Huh, well I guess I am"he says winking "I thought I could drive you home"
"Actually I was going to pick up Henry"
"Great we can pick him up on our way there" he says and I laugh
Okay..
After a little bit of driving I tell Killian that we're almost at Henry's bus stop and he slows down the car  a little and looks at me then back at the road. He does that again and I ask what's wrong.
   "Emma I- Would you like to go to a wedding? My old friend from college is getting married and I got invited so would you like to be my date?"
    "I don't know.." I want to go for Killian but it's not really my scene..I also have never been to a wedding
    "Please Emma" Killian says looking at me with puppy dog eyes
   "I've never even been to a wedding before.."
  "Life is all about firsts"
    He looks so expecting and I really don't want to disappoint him for no real reason.
"Your right..okay yeah Killian I'll go with you, but I have one condition."
"Anything"
"No dancing"
"Except that" Killian says stopping at a red light
"Why would you not want to dance?" He says looking at me
Great another opportunity to mention how stange I am
"I don't know how to dance..most people when they're young go to clubs or even school dances but I had Henry and he only had me so I don't know how to.."
I imagined people in a club. I don't know I just feel like it's too messy it's too intimate.
"Well I guess I'll just have to show you" he says winking at me
I blush and I look out the window, to find that were at Henry bus top.
   Henry walks out and Killian honks lightly and he turns and sees us.
   "Hey Killian! Hi mom" Henry says getting into the back seat
"Hey kid" I say and then Killian says "Hello lad"
"I'd wager your hungry" he adds
"Yeah kinda" Henry says shrugging
"Well it's good that where we're going there's food"
"Where were going?" I quoted him. I thought he was just taking me home
"Yes, if your going to a wedding don't you need a dress and whatnot?" Killian says in a duh tone
"Yes..So your taking me to the mall?"
"Yup, were almost there just a couple minutes" Killian says tapping the steering wheel.

Right as we walk into the mall Henry goes straight to Cinnabon and Killian and I walk around.
"Do you want to go in there?"Killian says pointing at a Gap store.
"No..I don't think I'll find what I need there. Maybe Macy's?"
"As you wish, let's go" Killian says grabbing my hand leading me into the big store.
"How about this one?" Killian shows me a long pretty dress but it has a plunging neckline.
"No Killian that's like the third one you showed me that's like that" I say lauging and taking it from him
"That was totally a coincidence" I he says laughing with me
"Most guys would want to cover up their girlfriends and hide them from other guys"
"Now that I wouldn't do because why hide something so perfect. It would be selfish for me to keep you all to myself " he says hugging me from the side "Besides even if you wear something that covers you from head to toe you'd be beautiful"
I just smile since I'm speechless and I kiss him lightly. "Thank you Killian..you really are the best boyfriend ever"
He winks and says "Now why don't you go and try some on. I'll wait outside"
"Okay" and before I go to the dressing room I grab the dress he had showed me and he smirks.

"I don't like any of these!" I say frustrated
"You look lovely in all of them! Just pick one" Killian says from outside the door
"There's one more" I say looking at my favorite out of what I picked.
   I try it on and look at myself in the mirror. It's a beautiful yellow dress that has a layer of sheer that goes all the way down to my feet from my neck. Underneath there's a yellow dress that feels silky, it goes from just over my breasts then  down to my thighs. It's not too revealing and it's formal. I just hope it's not too much.
  "You ready?" I ask Killian before walking out.
  "I've been ready lov-" Killian stops talking abruptly when he sees me and I smirk walking more confidently towards him.
  "Like what you see?" I say twirling
   "Extremely" he looks me up and down and stands up "You look stunning!" He takes my hand and spins me around and I laugh.
    "Henry's probably bored so I'm going to go change."
   "What a crime" Killian says shaking his head.
    Once I take it off and start putting my pants back on Killian knocks on the door and says "Emma honey can I see the dress please?"
  "Sure" I say throwing it over the door. Huh, I wonder why he would want it.
   I get fully dressed and grab my purse walking out.
  "Killian we should hurry I'm gonna call Henry and ask wh-" I stop when I see that he's not sitting where he was before. I pull out my phone and call Killian.
"Hey Killian where are you?"
   " At the check out"
   "Okay I'll meet you there"
  Why did he go straight to check out?.. he better not think he's paying for that dress. It is over 200$ and I don't want him to have to buy it for me. As soon as I see him the women who is behind the counter puts my dress in the zipper case that is used for dry cleaning.
      "Killian" I say grabbing his arm "What are you doing?" I say in a whisper.
    "Buying my beautiful girlfriend a beautiful dress" he looks at me and smiles then it turns into a smirk when he adds "and shoes"
    "What?! You got me shoes too Killian that's too much" I say watching him grab the bag and thank the woman who gives him a flirtatious smile which I choose to ignore.
     "No, it's not. Really Emma, I'm making you come to this wedding so the least I could do is buy you something nice."
    "You're not making me. I want to go for you." I say and walk closer to him and he puts his arm over my shoulder "Thank you" I say sighing and enjoying the comfort of his embrace as we walk out.
    He kisses the top of my head. We walk a little bit more and I realize how close we are. I'm never usually into showing PDA especially in a place this crowded but being here in his arms I wouldn't trade it for the world.
     "Your shoe size is 8 right?"
     "Yes" I answer laughing
    We stay like that until we found Henry and went home. Just talking and laughing in each other's arms...Not caring about anything else in the world.
