she, silently, pleaded to be set free. but her anger captured her soul, and now the room was enveloped in screams.

alone.

he didn't. anger is red. anger is violent. but anger can be quiet. anger is destructive. anger is hurting. anger is torn and broken. anger is enclosed. it is judgmental, loud, burning. and anger is demanding.

she lost her mind, her heart, the delicate part of her soul.. she lost her ability to reason, to calm down, and the more people told her to breathe, she couldn't. it got harder. until finally- she didn't. she sat there with flooded eyes and a broken heart. a blank expression filled her face. her pace had gone flat. breathing used to be thoughtless, automatic. it wasn't. she sat and she thought and she realized inside that her breath was gone. she didn't inhale. a flutter of depression and desolation overcame her. she made up her mind- if you want me to live, if there's a reason i'm here, breathe for me. she waited. and the first steady breath she'd had all night appeared, shining like an angel in the dead of night. she wasn't useless.
