Cameron POV

"Anthony, wake up." I shook his shoulder. "I'm leaving now."

He opened his eyes.

"I'm leaving now." I said again.

He blindly searched for his phone and began typing something.

'Ok'

"Tyler's here, and I'm coming back after school."

It's been about three weeks since Anthony was discharged from the hospital and I've been here nearly everyday since then. Not that I mind at all.

School opened up a week ago, so as much as I would like to stay here and keep him company, neither of my parents would ever allow it to interfere with school. So I kinda have no choice.

I'm always iffy when he's left with Tyler because he's a bit clumsy. A while ago we had to go back to the hospital because he put the feeding tube in wrong. But I think he's got it now.

I left the room and grabbed my sweater and metro card. For it to be March, it's still a bit cold outside.

"Tyler, I'm leaving now." I said.

"Aye, pick me up some batteries when you coming, this controller not working." He said while viciously pressing random buttons and handing me a ten.

"Okay, just remind me."

"Glooks."

I then left Anthony's apartment and made my way to school.

"Cammmyyyyyyyy!!!" I heard once I was at my locker. I saw other people cringe at Pheonix's loud voice and I giggled to myself.

"Hey." I smiled while taking out my books for first period.

"What you mean 'hey' " she said over exaggerating my quiet voice.

I shrugged.

"Whatever." she rolled her eyes but instantly got happy again.

"Oh I had meant to tell you that Tyler asked me to be his girl."

I smiled, "Really? You said yes, right?"

"Hell no. I'm not ready for commitment."

My smile dropped. "Oh."

"I didn't say no though. I said he gotta work for it. But I sure as hell was gassed up when he asked me."

Just then the first period bell rang.

"I'm gonna get to class." I said.

"Alright. If you don't see me for the day, call me. I'll meet you."

I nodded then made my way to first period.

I groaned when the fourth period bell rang indicating it was time for my least favorite period, lunch. It's the time where if Pheonix isn't there, I'm by myself or bombarded with nosy people asking about Anthony. I never give a truthful answer though.
