Majesty A. Collins

"Majesty, why'd you have to do that?! Damn!"

"Stop yelling at her before she hits you too!"

Remorse of putting my hands on my ex last weekend washed over me. At first I thought he deserved it, but now I'm starting to feel as if he didn't. Maybe I should've simply ignored him.

This week of school I've seen him and his friends a lot more often. He'd glare at me and whisper to his friends.

Having someone talk bad about me while I'm just a few feet away is a pet peeve of mine. It only made me want to slap him again, but if I do I'll feel the wave of remorse again.

Letting out a breath of air, I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't be able to finish my research paper. Well at least not sitting outside in Central Park. The stunning scenery got the best of me.

The breeze went through my hair gently, causing it to blow away from my face

The breeze went through my hair gently, causing it to blow away from my face. I observed everything in front of me from the colorful leafs flying out of its home to the people walking their dogs.

If I had Ford with me we would either be walking or sitting under one of the many beautiful trees.

A frown made its way to my face just thinking about him. Weeks have passed and no one has attempted to call or text me on the whereabouts of my four legged friend. All I can do is pray that he's okay and not in the streets.

"Majesty?" An unfamiliar raspy voice questioned.

I tore my eyes away from the trees and to the guy who was now standing in front of me.

"Oh, hi Harlan." I smiled politely at him.

He returned the smile. "Do you mind if I sit with you?"

"No, I don't mind."

He gave a small nod and sat on the bench, leaving a space between our bodies.

"I want to warn you." He spoke, breaking the silence.

What an amazing way to start a conversation off..

"Um, okay...?"

He took a deep breath before turning his body towards me. I studied his weird body language, he seemed to look everywhere but me. His eyes then gazed down at our boots on the cold ground.

"You know Breezy right?" He finally asked.

"Yes, how do you know that?" I cocked an eyebrow, feeling a bit uneasy.

"He's bad news Majesty. I think you should-"

"You think I should stay away from him?" I laughed, although I found nothing funny at all. "You don't even know me, and you're telling me what you think I should do! Do you even know him?"

"Do you know him?" He turned the tables.

"Wow." I stood up from my once peaceful spot on the bench. "People are unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. They feel the need to tell a stranger to stay away from someone they don't even know. You don't even know him."

"I don't but-"

I held my hand up, trying to quiet his ignorant 'warning'. "Please stop talking."

He pursed his lips and shook his head. Rolling my eyes, I tucked my laptop safely in my bag before strolling away from Harlan.

When we first met last week, I assumed he was a pretty chill guy. He seems like the type of person who'll be nice to be around. But I didn't know that he likes to be in other people's business.

When I made it home I instantly hopped in the shower because I felt so sticky. After cleansing myself free of all dirt and sweat I ordered a pizza since I was too lazy to put something in the oven.

Hanging my phone up, I furrowed my eyebrows as I heard loud barks coming from somewhere. It sounded nearby, but no one on my floor owned a dog except for me. It couldn't have been a dog outside because the sound was close. Too close.

I entered my living room and stood behind the couch, trying to figure out where the sound was coming from.

"Maybe it is someone else's dog.." I mumbled to myself.

As I plopped down on the couch my phone vibrated from a text message. I pulled down the message from my notification bar and noticed it was Breezy's number.

But how did he get my number? He gave me his, but I never gave him mine..

Breezy: Open your window. -8:11pm

Blinking a couple times, I then locked my phone and turned my head to the window. I saw no one there, but I got up anyways.

My hands unlocked the window and slid it up. I ducked down and stepped onto the fire escape. Breezy had his back to me, but I could already tell he was in all black.

"Br-"

"It's not Breezy." The guy mumbled, turning around.

When he turned around he stepped over a bit, revealing a four legged animal. My mouth dropped as Ford jumped on me.

"Oh my god." I cried, dropping to my knees. "Ford!" After our little moment he jumped through the window and began to run around the apartment. Breaking my eyes away from Ford, I then looked at the guy in front of me and stood to my feet. "Why did you have my dog?" I spat.

"Chill." He chuckled, holding his mitten covered hands out. It was then that I realized this was the guy who goes by Bryce. "I found him on the corner, and I also found this." He showed me one of the many lost dog flyers I put up. "So you gon' pay me my one-fifty or.."

I looked him up and down in disgust. "You don't deserve my money. All you're going to do is spend it on alcohol. Oh and I didn't forget the names you called me."

I attempted to go through my window but he grabbed my arm, preventing me from doing so.

"I advise you to get your hands off of me before you find yourself falling from five stories." I sneered.

He dropped my arm without complaining. I hopped through the window and shut it loudly before locking it. I attempted to shove the window up, but it didn't budge. Smiling in triumph I ran over to Ford, but the doorbell rang.

I quickly made my way to the door and opened it. Luckily it was the pizza man with my pizza and breadsticks.

After walking around my apartment eating, and trying to get away from Ford's puppy dog eyes, I was finally in bed.

I held my iPhone 6 in my hands, contemplating on texting Breezy back. No matter how weird he is, he's very intriguing. But, the way he treated me the other day is unacceptable.

Locking my phone, I placed it on the charger before turning on my side and wrapping an arm around Ford.

At this point I don't care where he was or who took the time out of their day to come inside my apartment and take him, I'm just glad he's okay and with me once again.

I don't really like this chapter, but it was a filler.

Ford's back. 🤗

Thoughts on Harlan? Bryce?

I probably won't be updating as much as I have because I start school tomorrow. R.I.P. to me.
