Some of you use the word 'hoe' too loosely. I'd appreciate it if you stopped calling Majesty a hoe. The only guy she is with is Alex, and that's the only guy she's been with this entire book.

Majesty A. Turner

My vision became somewhat blurred as I squeezed my hands tighter around my keys. The cold weather hit me hard as soon as I exited my car. I felt as if I were walking on clouds, but the sound of snow crunching under my feet reminded me that I'm on earth.

The few people in Wal-Mart eyed me weirdly as I tried to find the snack aisle. I would look at myself weirdly also. After leaving Jermaine's funeral I refused to return home. Alex is the last person I want to see right now. Instead of facing him I decided to go to the beach, which was deserted, and spent some alone time with myself. Before I left I smoked half a blunt. Not weed that's laced, just weed. I was so tempted to lace my marijuana with the little baggie of coke I took from Alex, but I somehow fought that temptation just like I fought the temptation to return home.

I huffed as I held the two bags of chips in my hands, trying to decide which one I was craving more. "Fuck it." I threw both bags in the buggy and made my way to the candy aisle. Since Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away I have the pleasure of binge eating chocolate. Being on your period while single on Valentine's Day is a curse and blessing. You can have all the chocolate you want, but you're crying because you're alone and surrounded by couples.

Once I was satisfied with all of the junk food I had, I went to the self checkout line then to my car. I placed all of my things in the passenger seat before walking a few feet away to put my buggy in its designated area. I can't stand those lazy people who leave their carts in empty parking spots or near your car.

A high pitched screech left my lips as my eyes were now only an inch away from the white blanket covering the ground. I held onto a buggy as I carefully got off of the ground. I dusted myself free of the snow that hadn't gone through my clothing yet. Once I was up my eyes met the familiar icy blue ones.

"Aw." Amber pouted as her eyes darted down to my abdomen. "What happened? Did it die?"

I looked up at the sky and pressed my hands together. "I am a child of God."

Amber chuckled. "You won't do anything, you can drop dead with that 'baby' of yours. I doubt you were pregnant in the first pl-"

Me being a child of God fled my mind as those words left Amber's mouth. First I punched her in her injected lips before grabbing her hair and sending blow after blow to her face. She screamed in pain and swung like crazy. Some of the punches hit me but I didn't let go until she pulled a handful of my hair. I fell on my butt, but I made sure to pull her down with me.

I pushed her face in the snow so I could stand up. Once I was up I pulled her hair, causing her to sit up some. Her eyes closed as her cheek rested against my leg. I wasn't finished though. I kept punching her, and I felt as if I wouldn't stop.

"World Star!" A loud voice yelled as a flash suddenly came into view.

When you hear World Star that means to fight for your life, and that's exactly what I did. Amber attempted to, but I didn't allow her to get up since I kept punching and kneeing her.

"Don't you ever say some crazy shit to me again." I spat as I punched her after each word.

Although it was almost midnight, a small crowd surrounded us until the familiar death sirens echoed around us. They all ran away, I also attempted to run to my car but one of the men in blue reached for his gun. I reuse to be the next hashtag.
