#32 - Alternate Universe - Yvenity AU

Imagine Unity Chèri was never kidnapped.
He never fell through a portal to get stranded on Earth.
He never learned about humans or ever fall in love with them.
This AU is what would have happened if Unity stayed on Yvenity.

Unity of course wanted to study magical science and be a scientist. He was always really amazed by what magic could do so he hoped to learn more about how it worked. After completely the mandatory two years of schooling, he would continue taking classes that would revolve around his interest.

Unity would become an apprentice under a local researching scientist named  Ludwika Pon (F T4), who would teach him and give him a lot of experience in the field. As the war between the two Yvenity Nations escalate, Ludwika would be assigned more work by the state to aid in the war. Unity would, by his own choice, move in with her in order to help out with the substantial amount of work, taking some pressure away from Ludwika. Unity moving would mean his last name would change to Pon.
Unity works so hard the next week that Ludwika forces him a break. Unity spends that time away from their house to see his mother and friends and relax.  

With this break, one of his friends, Asa Meta (M T1), takes the chance and confesses their love. Unity never really gave love much thought yet, but decides to give Asa a chance. Eventually, Unity falls for Asa.

Unity returns from his break to continue help Ludwika with her projects, until one day about a year later, Ludwika dies, the source of death unknown. It didn't look like a murder, but with a series of tests, Unity concludes it wasn't Lidwika's health or age. Unity believes someone used a wish to kill her, but he can not prove it, and is forced to let it go.

Unity takes up the job Ludwika left behind and continues her work, from personal projects to work assigned by the state. He finds a lot of her work is assigned to aid the state in the war, further aiding his belief someone wanted her dead. Many of the projects included weapons. Hand gloves that used stolen crystals to give power to those who lack it. Powerful tools that could be used to electrocute people until their magical energy would take years to heal. Its was all horrifying to him, who honestly just wanted this war to end peacefully.

Unity hated fighting.

   He chose to pretend to work on these projects, given fake progress reports to the state that detailed how everything was going better then planned. He chose to use his time on Ludwika's other projects as well as a few of his own. He also found time to spend with Asa. Asa, though a bit worried, supports Unity in all of his decisions.

Another year or so passes, Unity's ability to keep the state's curiosity out of his work thinning. Asa moves in with him and becomes Asa Pon, and eventually they have a kid, Eden Pon. Unity loves his kid, spending suddenly less time on actual work and more time being a dad. He values family so much more then anything, just like his mother.

In paying less attention to his work, he gets caught faking his work and is fired and forced to move. They move into another house, taking up the new last name Monet . Unity still has to clean up the rest of his work that was not state related or funded, so for the first couple days he leaves Asa to look after Eden. Their plan for when he is done is to stay home and let Asa work, as Asa would like to take the time to try working as a host in entertainment.

That was what their plan was.

Some people working for the other state have their hands on the letters that Unity wrote to the state reporting falsely that the work on deadly weapons were going great. Believing that Unity is still working on them, and that these weapons could be powerful enough to win the war, they assassinate Unity while he's out working on cleaning up the Pon house.

With his death brings fear to Asa and Eden, who move and take shelter with Unity's sibling, Karma, and her girlfriend, their last name changing again.

On the other side of this AU, Mike and Tyler would have eventually broken up and stopped seeing each other all together, as that missing part in their relationship would not have been filled.
