"Bagon, please! You're going to hurt yourself!"
"B-bay-" It cried.
"Shh, sshhh.." You comforted it. "We'll fly someday.."
"Ba-Bagon?"
"Mh-hm. That's a promise.."

You breathed in and out.
"That day is today." You said. "Ready Salamence?"
"Rgg!" It cried.
"Then let's do this!"
Salamence readied it's wings, breathing deeply in sync with you. You stoked it's neck.
"Don't worry, we've got this." You kissed it's head. "Today is the day." You said again. It nodded, and with a powerful whip of it's wings, you were off; soaring over the mountain side. Salamence cried out happily, turning in air with the wind. It blew your hair into a mess, but you didn't care. You were having too much fun.
It felt like you were truly free up in the clouds, so it was disappointing when you had to come back down. You could tell Salamence was disappointed too.
"Don't worry." You soothed. "We'll fly again tomorrow, okay?"
"Gghh..." It agreed.
"Actually.." You thought out loud. "it's a long way to get back home from here..."
"Raaugh!!" It urged, knowing what you were hinting at.
You grinned. "Let's fly!"
