" Think Before You Speak "

Take me back to those old days

When everything was okay

I used to be your one and only

Now you're acting like you don't know me

I keep my phone right by my side,

Waiting on that call,

All these pictures and videos,

Posted on my wall

 I'm trying to hold,

Trying to hold on to what's left,

I don't want to move on,

But it's heavy on my chest

So,

Tell me you don't want to go, (Tell me you don't want to go)

Tell me that you need me (Tell me that you need me)

Tell me what I wanna hear (Tell me what I wanna hear)

Right before you leave me (Right before you leave me)

Tell me why you hurting me (Tell me why you hurting me)

Like you never loved me (Like you never loved me)

Cliche, I know,

But, this is how it goes

You know, someday you'll go

Baby, tell me where'd you go

People thought we're gross

They were friends and now they're foes

But that's just how it goes

That's just how it goes

So, tell me that you miss me

I need to know that you miss me

Tell me that you miss me

Even though you don't miss me

I want to feel important,

I need to feel wanted

Tell me that you miss me,

Even though you don't miss me

Baby,

Can you tell me that you miss me

Tell me that you miss me

I need to know you miss me

Even though you don't miss me

Students fleeted into the immense cafeteria, sitting with peers of their choice. It felt like high school all over again as Toni Romiti's Miss Me lyrics blasted into my ear buds as I finished the last sentence on my paper. Flashes of me and Quamaine's last fight after Mya's birthday came to mind as I placed my notebook into my over the shoulder bag, rubbing my face with my hands.

College is a pain in the ass. I've been working my ass off, no doubt, but there hasn't been one day for me to sit my ass down and relax. Everyday is the same thing. Wake up get ready for my classes that extend with over more than a thousand students in one class, come home snack on what ever is on the refrigerator, and then go to work. Like clock work.
