" An Ounce Of Prevention Is Worth A Pound Of A Cure "

Blake and I sat on the steps of our house, watching Mya place her things in Maxine's car. She seemed excited about it, but I wanted her to stay here with me. When Maxine placed her last suitcase in the trunk she hopped in the car and Mya came over to us, "I'm going to miss you Blake, you were a bundle of enjoyment. Love you, and make sure you call me on your daddy's phone." She kissed his cheek and held him for dear life. You could tell that he understood what was going on because tears striked down his cheeks.

"Mya......." I was about to apologize to her, but she cut me off. "You don't have to say sorry. Stop trying Azalea, you're going to always be in second place when it comes to Quamaine. I may be young, but I know my brother. The only reason you're on top of everyone else is because you had Blake. Don't ever talk to me again because I hate you." She said with no remorse.

For an eleven year old, she sure had a way with words. I wanted so badly to cry, but I didn't. I watched her hug Nakeisha who had just walked up before she jumped into the car and they drove away. I've been upset with what I did every day and every night, but how am I going to stop something like that from happening. I can't, and I messed up.

"I did everything you said, plus more." Nakeisha explained.

"Where's Jessica?"

"I'm right here. Everything is set into place for the Fashion show. If you need anything else just let us know." She said to me with a whole handful of papers. "Thank you for doing all this." I said hugging her.

For the past year I've treated Jessica like a damn hebrew slave because she was my secretary, but she works hard and I have a big surprise waiting for her at the Fashion Show. Sometimes when you get something good, you have to release it. "Now go away, so I can speak with Nakeisha." She nodded and walked away, "Aight, what they say?" I asked her.

"They gone let her do it cause they said she has alot of potential. Everybody love her." I nodded my head once she told me what was up.

"Hey, boo." Nasia hugged me and mean-mugged Nakeisha, "Hey, hoe. Oops I mean Nakeisha girl." She smiled. "You ain't got to cover it up. You don't even know me, so who are you to talk?" She asked her.

"Cause I know what yo' thottin' ass did b*tch. If you got a problem with the way I greet you then we can fight right now. I ain't no f*cking lame."

"B*tch and you think I am. Azalea you better let her know."

"What the f*ck don't you get? We're not friends. We never were and we never will be. Stop f*cking reminiscing about the old days. Can't nothing you do replace what you did to me. We were suppose to be friends, but friends don't try to take someone's man."

She laughed at that. I didn't think the sh*t was funny, "What the f*ck you laughing at?" I asked her, "He told you that I was trying to take him from you?" She asked me.

"No he ain't have to. I seen y'all kissing Nakeisha !"

"But I'm the one that get thrown under the bus, huh."

"Hell yeah !" Nasia said.

"B*tch this ain't got nothing to do with you. Shut yo' ass up and stay in your f*cking place !"

I couldn't even pull her back at the time. Nasia decked Nakeisha square in the nose. She was beating her ass. Left and right she was swinging on this b*tch like Muhammad Ali. She was straight doggin' this b*tch. It got so damn bad I had to pull Nasia off her.

"B*tch what was said, huh ! You ain't on sh*t. Let's stop with the lolli-gagging. I'm too damn sexy for this sh*t. I'm in my damn place hoe, my place is kicking yo' ass. Don't do too much, boo cause I don't play during recess, I deck b*tches !" Nasia screamed at her.

Nakeisha wiped her bloody nose and looked at me, "What did Quamaine tell you the day you caught us in the room together?" She asked me.

I really didn't want to go back to that moment cause it was gone piss me off, "He told me that you came to his house drunk and he wanted to help you, so he let you in, and when I got there he said you just jumped up and kissed him."

She rolled her eyes and cleaned her face up, "You ain't got to trust me Azalea, but you need to check your damn man before you check me. If he love you the way he say he do then he will tell you the truth. Ask him what I was to him? Ask him what we did that day you caught us kissing? Cause to be honest I was the victim, and he was the crime that I committed to. I never would put our friendship on the line for a nigga. It's not that you were his, but it was the simple fact that you wasn't his first, honey. If you don't believe me ask him."

Quaimaine, Juice, Neo, and Iman walked up with smiles plastered on their face, "What y'all trying to do?" Neo asked us. "This b*tch just made me go insane. Come on baby, I need a damn drink to calm my nerves." Nasia grabbed Iman's hand, "I can give you more than that." He smacked her butt. She gave him that look and he jumped away from her, "I'm gone see you later, boo." She waved.

"Aye, I got a bad red bone waiting for me. I'm bout to put it on her cause sh*t everybody know Juicy got that Juice." He smirked dapping up Neo and Quamaine.

"What's good, baby?" Quamaine smiled hugging me from behind, but I pushed away. "What yo' problem is?" He asked me. I rolled my eyes and just walked away from him leaving him in a daze.

When I got into the house Queen was laid out on the couch getting a foot massage from Kelly. I giggled cause she be having this lady working hard. "Ask him." She said to me even before I sat down. "I don't want to cause I don't even know how I'm gone handle it this time." I told her.

She sat up, dismissing Kelly, and looked at me, "I don't care what people say about him and his past relationships, or anything that he was affiliated with. Through everything that y'all been through, and I mean everything do you think that even after he tell you this that you not gone be in his arms after this. That boy can have sex with any woman in the world and you'd still be by his side. Let's be real, Azalea. You can't let him go, even if you wanted to. You love him, and he loves you. Stop listening to people that tell you that you're his second. Cause your his first. You are the only one that he kneeled down to. The only woman to concieve his child. The first woman he shedded tears in front of. He would kill for you. He gave up the the thug life for you. No woman can ever compare to you. You turned that boy into a man. Whatever happened in the past leave it there. You better ask him now, cause then you gone deny it for the rest of your life. I've never seen him more happier than when he was with you. You make him proud. You got the key baby, the key to his heart." She kissed my cheek, standing up and walked out the room.

Quamaine and Nakeisha walked into the room standing side by side, "We bout to head out. This goofy ain't never been paint ball shooting." He nudged her, making her giggle.

"Mommy !" Blake shouted. I held my arms open to catch him in my arms, but he ran past me and jumped into Nakeisha's arms. That hurt more than what Mya said.

I was starting to reconsider what Queen had said about me being his first, "I'm not your mommy, sweetie, but you can call me Ke-Ke." She smiled and placed him down. "I'm sorry Ms. Ke-Ke it was an accident." He smirked.

"It's alright, cutie. You want to go with me and your daddy?" She asked him.

"Yeah !"

"Aight, come on lil man. Azalea, you coming?" Quamaine asked me.

"Nah, gone head and enjoy yourselves." I smiled. He grabbed my waist and kissed my lips, "I love you." He said, "I love you too."

I watched them leave and sat down on the floor. Sighing. I trust him. I trust him. I kept repeating this to myself to keep from spazzing out.
