I sat on the comfy chair and grazed my fingers lightly on my new desk, I couldn't help but smile that it was my official first day as Ethan Cole's personal assistant. I wonder where Ethan was? It was already half nine in the morning and I was told to be at the office at nine. The kind lady at the reception showed me to my desk. I started to swirl around my chair as a purpose to entertain myself when my mind went back to the previous night.

"Myra get in."

I didn't need to hear the command twice as I hastily got into the car, away from the drenching rain.

Ethan started to drive in silence and the only thing we could hear were my teeth clanking together due to the cold as I sat there shivering head to toe. Ethan glanced at me before turning up the heat in the car but it didn't help my shivering at all. I couldn't help but rub my hands against my arms trying to warm myself up. After couple of minutes Ethan stopped at the side of the road and reached something from the back seat and handed me a big woolly jumper. "Here, take this it should help with the cold." I took the jumper immediately and stuttered a thank you; Ethan didn't say a word as he went back to driving. I couldn't help but inhale the expensive scent from his jumper which instantly made me feel warmer. I mustered up the courage and tried to start a conversation to end this silent between us "Eth- I mean Mr Cole." I couldn't really call him with his first name, I'm his employee now so that makes him my boss so I had to respect him. But before I could say anything else Ethan asked with a demanding voice "What were you doing walking alone in the dark in this awful weather?"

I contemplated to tell the truth but what came out of my mouth was not entirely the fact. "I went out to dinner with a friend and we got in a argument so he left me at the restaurant. I tried to ring a taxi and my best friend but I had no reception so I decided to walk." I mumbled quickly.

"In this weather?" He looked at me with a 'are you freakin' kidding me' look.

"Yes."

"You do know how dangerous it is for a beautiful girl to walk alone at this time?"

I gulped at his angry tone but my heart couldn't help but flutter when he said 'beautiful'. Does that mean he thinks I am beautiful? Wait a second...why is he angry? Before I can over think about his topic Ethan asked me another question.

"Are you sure it wasn't a date?"

My heart accelerated a speed or two due to his question. Did he know I was on a date? Did he stalk me?

"Well?"

"No it wasn't." I lied. I looked towards him to see him staring at me, I saw a dark look across his face before I could blink, it was gone. Maybe I was seeing things? I looked outside the window to see we were already here, deep within me I felt disappointed that I was already in front of my apartment building. I looked back towards Ethan but all I saw was an empty seat , all of a sudden my car door opened to see Ethan standing their waiting for me to get out of the car. I quickly got out and he closed his car door and gave me a small smile. "What kind of gentleman would I be if I don't escort you to your door?"

"A bad one?" I said with a smirk.

He smiled at me before we started walking towards my building. We silently waited for the elevator once it reached the ground floor, me and Ethan stepped in. Due to the small space I leant against one of the walls so I wasn't standing close to him, just thinking about standing next to him makes my body respond in ways I never knew it could. When we reached my floor I stepped out with Ethan following me, I stood outside my door and turned around to face him, due to the fact I didn't know he was so close to me I gasped in shock. I looked up to see Ethan looking down with his intense blue eyes which caused my body to shiver. "Are you still cold?" He asked softly. With our bodies so close I couldn't answer so I simply nodded. Before he could say anything, my door opened causing me to jump far away from him. "Myra! How was your d-" Before Sally could complete her question she saw standing in front of her door The Ethan Cole. "OH MY GOSH! ETHAN COLE." Shrieked Sally which caused me to put my hands on my ear and Ethan stepping back a bit. "My heart is beating ecstatically just seeing you here." Sally poked her finger on his arm. " I just can't believe it's actually you outside my door, I mean in my billion years I would never think I would ever see you HERE outside my door." Sally rambled on.
