Chapter 20- Virgin Play: Act 1 Scene 1

(Edited)

Later that evening, after a very long bath I felt relaxed. I decided to wear my long t-shirt and leave my hair down to let it dry naturally. I made my way to the kitchen and started on making myself coffee, I couldn't help but daydream about Ethan Cole shirtless with his glory muscles on display.

"Helllooooo" Sally said as she waved her fingers in front of me.

"Hmmm yeah." I asked distantly.

"Oi Myra." Shouted Sally as she pinched my arm.

"Ouch, what the hell!" I rubbed my arm.

"What?" Asked Sally innocently. "I've been calling you over a minute and you're staring into space with a wide smile on your face. I got worried, not my fault."

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes. I finished making my coffee and walked into the living room and settled down on the couch.

"Sooo." Sally dragged the word out of her mouth.

I looked at her confused. "What?"

"What happened with Chris?"

At that moment I realised ever since Ethan picked me up from the side walk, I haven't really thought about Chris. The only person on my mind was Ethan. I took a deep breath and started to tell Sally the whole story from start to finish.

"Oh so Ethan was your knight in shining armour." Giggled Sally as she nudged me on the arm. I didn't say a word as I let Sally giggle like a school girl. "Has Chris contacted you?"

"Well he hasn't texted me."

"What about your profile?"

"I don't know I haven't really checked."

"Well check then." Insisted Sally.

"Honestly Sally, I came back from my very first day at work. You can't ask me how my day went but all you care about is my stupid love life." I groaned.

"Well your love life is important, you practically a virgin at everything. Flirting, holding hands, kissing, you name it and I will guarantee you're a virgin. Whereas your career, I know you did awesome cause you're amazing at it."

"I am NOT a virgin at everything." I retorted.

"I complimented you and from that little speech all you got was you're a virgin."

"Yes because I AM NOT A VIRGIN AT EVERYTHING." I howled. I was so sick of people labelling me as a virgin, yes I know I am one but they don't need to keep pointing it out.

At that moment, I heard someone clear their throat and knocked on the door. I looked at Sally before getting up to open the door but the door was already opened with Ethan standing at the door awkwardly. I felt my face heat up in embarrassment I knew for a fact Ethan heard my little outburst.

"Oh damn, I totally forgot to close the door when I came in." Muttered Sally loud enough for me and Ethan to hear.

I glared at Sally as she looked at me sheepishly. She cleared her throat and turned to Ethan. "Mr Cole would you like to come in?" Asked Sally sweetly. I couldn't take this awkward moment any longer, I felt utterly embarrassed that Ethan heard what I said. I knew he came to see me but I couldn't say a word at that moment so I just turned around and escaped into the kitchen. I gripped my mug of coffee and took a sip so the warm liquid could soothe me. The thought of coffee trying to soothe me went flying out the window the minute Sally started trying to mend the awkward moment for me by making it worse.
